A native of Richlands, Virginia, Family Nurse Practitioner Kristen Jackson is very excited to serve her hometown at Clinch Valley Physicians Associates in the pediatrics department. Kristen has always had a passion to help the people in the community where she grew up, as well as continue her career with Clinch Valley Physicians Associates. After graduating high school and trying out classes in one field at Southwest Virginia Community College, Kristen found that direction was not for her and started exploring the Pre-Medical field SWCC. Kristen quickly found her passion in a career in medicine. Her parents were very surprised by this decision! She finished her associate degree at SWCC and transferred to Radford University where she graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in May 2011. Kristen returned home to Richlands to work in Clinch Valley Medical Center's ICU where she has remained for the past 11 years. Kristen always wanted to further her education and become a …nurse practitioner. She completed the Master's of Science in Nursing FNP program through Chamberlain University in June 2022. Her husband is also a registered nurse, and they have two young children. They love spending time together as a family.
