My family had a very disappointing experience with Nurse Practitioner Leah Fingerman at Massachusetts General Hospital during an already difficult time while a loved one was under care. Even the lowest rating available does not adequately reflect the level of concern we have about this experience. Given the seriousness of the situation, we expected a higher level of attentiveness and clinical engagement. Instead, we often felt that important concerns were not fully explored, and on multiple occasions, requests for further testing were repeatedly raised but not acted upon. The response to these requests was dismissive and, at times, seemed to discourage further inquiry. We found ourselves needing to push for additional evaluation and follow-up that should have been more proactively addressed. Communication was limited, and there was a lack of thoroughness that left us feeling uneasy and unsupported throughout the process. During a time when clear guidance and attentive care are… critical, this experience fell short of what patients and families should reasonably expect. In situations involving complex or serious health issues, it’s essential to have providers who are responsive, detail-oriented, and actively involved. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.
