Courtney Molina, Psy D

Dr. Molina earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Molina cares for patients at the Harrell Family Center for Behavioral Wellness.

What is your patient care philosophy?
My philosophy uses interpersonal and phenomenological approaches. I focus on building warm and trustworthy relationships with my patients in order to create a safe space for clinical work. I make it a point to understand and respect the patient’s worldview.

What would you like people to know about you as a physician?
I am a kind, caring, and knowledgeable clinician. I utilize practices that are evidence-based and specific to patient needs.

What do you enjoy most about working with patients?
I enjoy seeing and hearing my patients become more confident and healthy. It brings me joy when a patient begins to take initiative in their life and recognizes the impact of their changes. I enjoy heating patients put concepts and skills from treatment into their own words and use them in their new, daily vocabulary.

How does your work improve lives?
Mental health is a meaningful part of medical health. Our minds control how we think, feel, and ultimately respond to our lives and the struggles we face. My work aids in healing from traumas that impact mental, physical, and relationship health.

What are some interesting facts about you?
I love the outdoors and enjoy walking, hiking, and biking. I also enjoy gardening and collecting exotic plants. I love the visual and performing arts. I enjoy playing my violin and attending musical performances.

What else would you like to share with our readers?
Though I have worked in different settings across Central and South Florida, I am a Lakeland native. I have a heart for my community and find joy in providing support and education where I can.
