The office was on schedule, essentially no waiting, and the staff was courteous, accommodating, and efficient. Dr. Marchese was very thorough and explained everything in detail. I recommend him and his office without reservation.

ACCESSIBILITY ALERT: My 97 year old mother with Cerebral Palsy, who is in a manual wheelchair, was denied care. it was a nightmare. None of the examination equipment could ACCOMMODATE a wheelchair. The wheelchair arms couldn't slide under the examination equipment. No matter how we twisted and pulled her forward (very uncomfortable and painful), we couldn't get her close enough for her chin to rest on the chin holder or her forehead to press against the forehead stabilizer. Really? In the 21st century you Yahoos can't have equipment that can ACCOMMODATE a wheelchair? Diversity? Inclusion? Her optometrist's equipment accommodates her wheelchair effortlessly. Dr. Marchese then added insult to injury and glibly stated that his surgical center wouldn't accept her because of her disability. And that's okay with you, Fella? He said she would have to go to Wills Eye in Philadelphia or Cooper University Hospital in Camden. He couldn't ACCOMODATE her or examine her. We went to the… front desk to check out. He had instructed them to set up an appointment WITHOUT CONSULTING US FOR OUR AVAILABILITY OR GIVING US THE CONTACT INFORMATION SO WE COULD SET UP THE APPOINTMENT OURSELVES. The receptionist told us we could cancel the appointment, after she made it, and reschedule it. WHY? Are they getting a referral kickback? I'm really sick of the God the Doctor treatment. We have agency. We left, in anger, because our transportation arrived and without being given the courtesy of the contact information to set up an appointment with Cooper. I told the receptionist to text or email the information. She didn't. In addition, the computerized pre-appointment check-in and confirmation texts are a nightmare. You can't confirm online. You have to call and you get the 15 minutes on hold then disconnected treatment. Call back and they lift the phone and hang up REPEATEDLY. Even after I finally got through to a person to confirm, we kept getting annoying texts to confirm. Awful and very unprofessional. We were contacted by text late in the day before the appointment and early in the morning the day of the appointment to fill out the forms and provide scans of insurance cards online. Nightmare. Didn't work. Total waste of time. I'm busy. How about some respect and thoughtfulness? It should have been done a week before to allow us to fit it into our schedule AND the system should work and not waste our time. Just as ignorant as it gets all around. ** If you are disabled, do not suffer the indignity of an appointment with this practice. ** One star is generous for these Yahoos
