Dr. Steven Alan Glyman

He was very kind and diagnosed me accurately. I no longer have chronic depression or migraines.

Dr. Glyman: left the practice two months ago and I was never told now I'm looking for a new neorologist

I first saw Dr. Glyman apx 5 yrs ago and followed up with his office for 2 years. He moved and is now affiliated with UMC - and it is impossible to get an appointment to see him. Recently requested follow-up for a TIA "mini-stroke" from hostpital for MRI. Told by his new staff that it would be 2 months before an opening to see him, so they offered his Nurse Practitioner @ 1 week out. Staff promised to have my old records pulled by my appointment. They did NOT! In fact, the request to pull my records wasn't submitted until the day of my appointment - that should have been my first sign!!! Nurse practitioner not very helpful - but did request the MRI, and told me it would be forwarded that afternoon(Friday), or Monday. I followed up with Nevada Imaging. They still didn't have my request from Dr. Glyman's Office after a full week!!! When I called Dr. Glyman's Office I got an attitude from the gal who is supposed to forward the referrals, telling me that she's doing the job of 2 people and… that she's very behind - over 1 week behind. Little comfort for me, the patient! I'm infuriated by Dr. Glyman's staff's lack of concern, follow-through, and lies!!! When I spoke to the manager, I got a completely different excuse - "Oh, that is normal practice, we always tell our patients that it takes at least a full week to get out a referral. We only process them quickly if we get a note stating it is 'STAT'". Funny - everyone I spoke with the day of my appointment, told me it would be processed that afternoon. When I advised the manager that the nurse told me it would be processed that afternoon or the following business day, I was put on hold, and then told that the nurse practitioner said she did not feel my issue required any urgency. What!?*! Sudden onset of a mini stroke, lack of oxygen to the brain, and a nurse who tells her patient the referral will be processed within hours, changes her story to she doesn't see any urgency here? Does everyone in this office have selective memory issues and do the opposite of what they tell the patient? Okay - Not happy at all, and will NEVER refer anyone else to his clinic, in fact will share my frustrations with others. While Dr. Glyman may be a brilliant doctor, if you can't get in to see him, and his staff are a bunch of incompetent individuals - it serves no benefit to anyone, in fact perhaps more harm.

Dr. Glyman holds my most sincere gratitude. While other "Doctors" were intent on calling me crazy, Dr. Glyman took me seriously & genuinely cared about everything I had to say re: my medical history. He evaluated everything & ordered an MRI and Lumbar Puncture... turns out I'm NOT crazy, I have MS. I have been with him for nearly 4 years now, and have never had a problem. I take my appointments with Judith Larkin, APN, by my own choosing. She is like family to me. Dr. Glyman is always greeting me by name & is certain to take time to ask how I am doing, etc. Everyone there is just the greatest!!!! I am so very fortunate to have found such a wonderful group of people to help me with managing my health care.
