Dr. Aamir Zaman, MD

I was examined by this doctor as he continually wanted to biopsy a condition which he should have further investigated. After leaving he I was examined by MSK who found a different diagnosis. I understand when you practice medicine but I think he is still practicing.

I absolutely love Dr. Zaman. However; his nurse leaves a lot to be desired. She is unprofessional, lazy, and has absolutely no bedside manner you would expect from a nurse, especially in the cancer field. People are sick, and the last thing one needs is to go there and be treated poorly by her. I have also heard other nurses in other hospitals / departments speak poorly of her. She does not do the work she is responsible for; and - could she move any slower? She seems to forget - SHE works for US! It would be a much more pleasant experience if she were not there. She does not belong in the nursing profession. She is also very sloppy when taking blood and should not be allowed to do it. Jill - get a new job! One where you do not have to deal with people. As a side note, we have waited at least 2 hours prior to getting in the room to sit another hour. The office staff should book appointments a little differently. We walked in the other day and all 12 people had the same… appointment time!

Doctor Zaman was kind and helpful when I finally got in to see him (some patients were still waiting when I left, they'd been there 2 hours!). I was at first impressed, especially when he said HE would be calling another doctor to refer me and he would, "take care of" me. Turns out he delegated to his nurse. The one that treated me poorly when she thought I was faking cancer, and only stepped up a tiny bit when she realized I truly HAD cancer. She has promised to get back to me 3 different times, different days, and has not fulfilled any of those promises, and has the audacity to act annoyed when I call to check the progress. Dr. Zaman would do well to find new staff.
