My husband had Dr Mato when he was diagnosed with non Hodgkins lymphoma. I can’t say enough about how great he was. He was very kind and was always available to answer our questions… We just loved him! Would definitely recommend him..

Compassionate, warm, smart, and informed. I nearly located at a cancer center at a distance for NHL treatment when I learned that Cayuga Health had added to its staff, one of the leading experts on lymphoma. I figured this out not because they said so, but through browsing MEDLINE/PubMed for research publications he'd authored or co-authored. Trust of the medical profession comes very hard for me, and due in great part to my interactions with Dr. Mato, it's beginning to build. Everything he tells me correlates with the literature and information at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and his genuine excitement about the developing treatments shines through. Plus, he is remaining part of the research community. What we know about cancer and its treatment is changing so fast, and I want an oncologist who is constantly learning and part of the process of improving protocols, too.

I went to Dr. Mato for second opinion as he’s a CLL exspert. He came highly recommended, my meeting with his went great kinda short meeting and direct but I believe in him. I would stongly recommend him.

Dr. Mato is the best! Brilliant Doctor. Wonderful manner. Can't say enough good things about him. Miss him.

In the fall of 2014, leukemia was catching up with me. I had been in treatment for approx 10 years, and my medications were no longer working. Dr Mato was intelligent and persistent enough to get me enrolled in a drug trial that restored my pre cancer life back to me.

Dr. Mato has a poor bedside manner. He needs to make more effort to communicate effectively.

Dr. Mato belongs in a laboratory, not in a clinical environment. I have never had a physician with whom I could not communicate or establish some sort of rapport, except for Dt. Mato After my second visit. I gave up.

Dr. Mato is an intelligent, kind, outstanding physician who saved my mother's life. He was available and supportive every step of the way. He kept us fully informed before, during and after treatment. He is truly an outstanding doctor and person. I would recommend him and his team 100%, without a bit of hesitation. He is a miracle worker.
