Dr. Aanchal Taneja, MD

Unprofessional and unprepared. Waited 45 mins and was denied service. She stated we were "rushing" her when we inquired about the wait. She had also not reviewed the file sent over by the previous doctor and was unprepared for the appt.

I have a less common neurological condition and Dr Taneja clearly knew diagnosis and treatment options. She listens well and takes all the time needed to address concerns each visit to her. She has helped me be much more active and I appreciate her kind and thorough care.

Dr. Taneja is the best. She listens, she hears what you say and what you ask. She has direct answers and she is also reassuring. Very confident in her care which can be a challenge with Parkinson's patients.

I agree with the commenter who said that Dr. Taneja is not the doctor for young women with non-degenerative neurological problems. My experience seeking advice for her felt more demeaning than helpful, she had little advice to offer beyond telling me to see a psychologist, and seemed to care little for how dismissive this advice felt. I have experienced a serious decline in day-to-day function over the last year and Dr. Taneja asked me repeatedly why I found it impossible to work a job as I used to, despite having seen evidence that my movement problems are such that I can barely put together a sandwich or walk across a room. A very unpleasant consultation without much empathy or depth of knowledge.

Well intentioned, but only doctor in practice spread to thin to be helpful for patients with chronic illness like PD. Most egregiously didn’t tell my father to avoid food intake an hour before and after taking PD meds. He continually reported to her for several visits ( months!) the meds not working, not feeling better. She never asked about food/timing, nor did she explain it initially. It was the first thing asked at new practice. Very difficult to get in touch with this doctor, very poor follow through with plans discussed. Disappointed in care to say the least. Would not recommend.

We have been going to Dr Aanchal Taneja for my spouse's Parkinson's disease treatment for past few years. We found her professional yet friend and approachable. She ensures patient is given enough time to go through the ailments and replies to all concerns. Her office staff provides timely service when needed.

I can see a big difference in my husbands Parkinson's symptoms. He's doing a lot better! She's a great doctor!

Ordered an MRI then only had it read for bones, not the tissue/cysts I came to her concerned about. Also, terrible at returning phone calls (never did). Finally got my answer from the girl who answered the phone. Do not recommend her.

I've been seeing Dr Taneja for 5 years, she is easy to talk to, very thorough, and trusting.

I had an abnormal DATscan and Dr. Tanaja has never been very helpful or supportive. If you are an unusual demography (relatively young and female rather than elderly and male) with a 'degenerative' neurological disorder, this doctor is not your best bet. She does not keep up with current research or think outside of the box. She is a doctor circumscribed by textbook knowledge and pharmaceuticals alone.
