Dr. Aaron Ament

Back in the mid 80’s I was 13 and saw dr ament. I was a patient for three years. He acted like a third parent and was very controlling. No diagnosis was made. He refused to accept that depression existed in teenagers. Long story short I was actually bipolar and had a serious hypomanic episode while seeing a different psychiatrist. I spent my senior year of high school at shepherd Pratt hospital where I received the bipolar diagnosis and treatment. He coulda helped me at 13 but his stubborn and narcissistic ways weren’t going to let that happen. I was hoping he’d do the world a favor and retire.

I called the doctor's office to make an appointment on Monday; and by Wednesday morning I still had not received a call, so I called again. I was told by the young woman who answered the phone that she "wasn't sure why I had not received a call." I don't know how is it possible that this office gets a four star rating when they can even set up an appointment.
