Dr. Aaron Gardiner is a graduate of Harvard University and a 2004 graduate of the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Tufts Affiliated Hospitals Orthopedic Residency Program. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital.During his fellowship he served as assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and Harvard University Athletics. Currently Dr. Gardiner also serves as the team physician for Wellesley High School and Pine Manor College Athletics. Dr. Gardiner is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Gardiner is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr Gardiner is an excellent surgeon and a kind and caring doctor. I was given all the time I needed to have my questions answered. He is conservative recommending surgery. I was pain free the second day and back to my normal athletic routine in 3 weeks.

Dr Gardiner is the most highly skilled, kindest surgeon you will ever find. He gives all the time you need to explain everything, he listens carefully, is very conservative about recommending surgery, but if you need it then expect to be fixed and healed faster than you expected. I had my knee surgery one month ago. I was pain free on the second day and back to my normal sports routine in 3 weeks. He is a superb surgeon. Newton Wellesley hospital and staff are excellent.

Dr. Gardener would ask a question, interrupt, not let me finish. The physical exam took 30 seconds. He is the worst doctor in terms of professionalism and ability to help a patient.

He listens carefully to my issues and suggests either MRI, e-ray or Physical therapy. When an operation was discussed he said you may want to do this later but I would wait. I was happy he knew I could wait and said do. This issue was about my knee and although I have issues I biked in France 5 hours a day for 5 days. It is soar but OK. pat ice and heat. I have seen him about my shoulder too and again I have been sent to PT. I feel he listens carefully, is very bright and knows his field. If and when I get operated he will be my surgeon.

Dr. Gardiner is personable and direct. He understands his trade and provides no-nonsense advice. My surgery went off without a hitch and I'm very grateful he is my orthopedist.
