Dr. Aaron Noah Insel, MD

Really great bedside manner.. This doctor actually CARES about his patients and their outcomes. He takes his time to explain the problem and the best possible solution. He answered all my questions and even drew me a diagram so I could fully understand what was happening. If you want a really caring, intelligent, talented surgeon, come see Dr. Insel!

Dr insel is one of the most caring, professional and knowledgeable doctors I've ever seen. His level care and concern is something we all hope for when seeing a doctor. I would give him 10 stars if I could!

I had a very severe case of Dupuytren’s contracture on the pinky of my right hand. I saw two other doctors before I saw Dr. Insel, both of whom said the available non-surgical treatment using Xiaflex was not possible and that I would need surgery to correct the 90 degree bend in my finger. I elected not to do the surgery after those diagnosis as I am a professional musician, and I could not afford to lose the use of my right hand for the long recovery from surgery. I figured I would simply live with my bent finger for the rest of my life. When I saw Dr. Insel, he brought a whole different attitude and level of expertise to my case, and was confident that he could correct my finger using the non-surgical method. One month later, my finger is now nearly straight, and I have almost normal use of it, which I haven’t had for three years. Both he and the hand therapist expect it to get even better with time. I only lost a few days of practice on my instrument, and the recovery was much… faster than I ever imagined possible. Dr. Insel brought a “can do” attitude, expertise and confidence to my case. He explained exactly what to expect, and was very caring. Xiaflex may not be an option in every case, but Dr. Insel will most certainly not dismiss it without careful consideration the way the other doctors I saw before him did. His office staff was very helpful in arranging the insurance, and was always quick to respond and professional. I never had to wait more than 15 minutes to see him. I would recommend him without reservation.

Dr. Insel was fantastic! Not only did he provide me with the best care possible after both my injury and later surgery, but he definitely treated my family and I with the utmost respect. Now, personally, I am not a fan of visiting any doctor's office in the least, but I actually enjoyed visiting his office and conversing with him and his team of professionals - and guess what!? (in a very matter-of-factly sort of way) I even got to sit down with these great people during one of their lunch-ins. Now that was some good eating! Overall, my right hand, the hand he worked on, is doing better than ever and I am entirely grateful for his absolute attention to detail when it comes to dealing with his patients. 5 stars? pshhttt! more like 10!

He was very friendly and was extremely knowledgeable on my injury. He could describe to me everything in detail and helped me get back to where I needed to be.

I broke my wrist jan 6 2019 and Dr. Insel operated on it jan 16 2019. Dr. Insel did an excellent job on my wrist and it has come a long way. I highly recommend him if you have wrist problems because he is the best and he takes pride in his work.
