Dr. Madeline Tadley, MD

Dr. Madeline A. Tadley is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity care. She treats a wide range of conditions involving the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow, with particular expertise in complex skeletal and soft tissue trauma, arthritis, and peripheral nerve injuries. Her surgical training includes endoscopic, arthroscopic and microsurgery techniques. Dr. Tadley earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, followed by fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. During her fellowship, Dr. Tadley trained at the Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, India, where she learned form world leaders in microsurgery. Prior to returning to HSS, Dr Tadley worked as a hand and upper extremity attending with a leading orthopedic …group in Philadelphia and South Jersey, where she was recognized as a Top Doctor. As an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Tadley has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with research presented at both regional and national conferences. Her ongoing clinical research interests include patient education, pain management after hand surgery, and advancements in peripheral nerve surgery. Spending time with patients to understand their goals and developing a patient-centered treatment plan is a major priority. Dr. Tadley combines technical expertise with compassionate care, tailoring treatment plans to help patients get back to what matters most to them.
