Dr. Elizabeth Ann Cody, MD

Dr. Cody offered me options that my other treating doctors did not resulting in preserving almost the full function of my ankle post surgery. I am sure that Dr. Cody’s skill, experience, patience and determination to make the extra effort contributed greatly to the success of my surgery. Dr. Cody is a competent and skilled professional who I feel is committed to the best outcome possible for her patients. I was extremely lucky to find her and I am pleased to pass on my thanks and highest recommendation.

Dr. Cody rocks! She surgically realigned and replaced my ankle in one procedure. It took time to heal with weeks of crutches, boot, and PT but the results are unbelievable! I'm walking pain free! Life is SO much better when you can walk without pain!

I haven’t been able to walk without significant pain since Dr. Cody operated on me. I didn’t want to leave a review but 2 1/2 years later I’m still worse than I worse pre-operative.

Dr. Cody is so talented and kind. I will be singing her praises for the rest of my life — she put my ankle back together after I broke it into literal pieces. Her team is excellent and the care I received is unmatched.

Dr Cody and her staff are beyond amazing. I loved how she went over the imaging and explained what was happening to my ankle and the prospective prognosis should I chose not to undergo the surgery. It all made sense. She is also very transparent and does not promise you miracles. I had a full laceration of a tendon, that they missed in ER. I was able to walk but my foot was turning into a goose foot which would eventually turn into huge problems and pain. Ankle reconstruction with cadaver tendon was performed. Pre-, peri, postoperative experience was great ( if you can use this word to describe the experience). I am still recovering, but I am glad I followed the advice. I am glad that Ron Vales ( APRN) detected the problem and promptly referred me to see this fantastic, approachable surgeon. The entire staff at HSS Stamford is awesome. Elizabeth ( the secretary ?) is super efficient and kind.

I asked her to look up a physician to refer me. ignored me I contacted 4 drs who referred names outside of their specialties ….. she wouldnt call one of her colleagues from Med school??? Horrendous help from her In my time of need Isn’t it a drs vow to help patients ? Certainly the opposite of you…. Take the money and run This non response from this dr, who treated me for 3 months… she’s dropped me like a hot potato Wanted to let u know as it shows a total disregard for me… one of her patients She recommended by Presbyterian hospital and go to the emergency room I asked her to look up a physician to refer me. My right ankle was severe mis-aligned which caused a great deal of pain with normal walking activities for years. Prior to meeting Dr. Cody, other orthopedic doctors had told me that the only option was to have an ankle fusion surgery. I was very reluctant due to its side effects which include losing much of the ankle flexibility. After the comprehensive assessment by Dr. Cody, she concluded that I was a suitable candidate for the total ankle replacement surgery instead. I am grateful for that advice. The surgery was extremely successful. I am now fully functional without any pain or loss of flexibility. During the entire process, Dr. Cody was transparent, empathetic, and caring. She was responsive with any questions I had post-surgery and during recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Cody, without any hesitation.

Dr. Cody is an excellent, Incredibly caring, compassionate & highly skilled Surgeon. Her staff is impeccable. Dr.Cody is my Foot & Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon & I will not hesitate to seek her expertise in the future.

I had a badly deformed arthritic right foot and had reached a point where it was very painful and difficult to walk. Prior to seeing Dr. Cody, I had met with a leading university hospital foot surgeon. He told me the surgery on my foot would take seven hours and he couldn’t guarantee that I’d see any improvement after surgery. Several months later and after further deterioration of my ability to walk, I met with Dr. Cody. After taking x-rays of my foot she said she could repair my foot and proceeded to describe the surgery. Immediately post-surgery after the nerve block wore off, I had less pain than I did pre-surgery. One year later, I’m walking without any pain and doing all of my normal life activities. Needless to say, I’m extremely satisfied with the surgical outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Cody and have already referred 2 friends to her.
