Dr. Aaron Rowland, DO

Dr. Rowland has been great! The two times we have gone to see him he was right on the money regarding diagnosis. I would recommend Dr. Rowland to anyone looking to get a sports injury diagnosed.

Both of my children participate in competitive sports and have been seen by Dr. Rowland. His attention to detail and asking all the right questions to get the information he needs from younger athletes is top notch. As is his knowledge and thoroughness to make sure my kids receive the best care and get them back to their sport as quickly as possible.

MRI showed that I had a slight shoulder labrum tear that would require 6-9 months of recovery if I went the surgery route. Decided to talk with Dr. Rowland about my options and he suggested PRP therapy. Pain from the injection was minimal and after 6 weeks I have very little, if any, pain in my shoulder. Hoping to be completely gone in the next couple of months. Highly recommend Dr. Rowland for alternatives to surgery!

Dr Rowland has the bedside manner of a bygone era. I always feel like he listens to the problem and offers a couple of good treatment options. I appreciate his measures approach. I also appreciate that he doesn’t overbook his day, so I can get in and out relatively quickly.

My 14 year old daughter hurt her shoulder months ago while swimming competitively. Children’s Mercy sports medicine accused her of “cheating” at PT and said she just needed more PT and to do it at their clinic, which is inconvenient. Although the MRI showed inflammation, she refused to order an anti-inflammatory. That started my search for someone who would listen to our concerns - we are so lucky and thankful we found Dr. Rowland! He listened well and asked a lot of questions, did a very thorough exam and also reviewed her MRI (brought the disc with us) before making recommendations. If conservative therapies don’t help, he offers regenerative medicine instead of surgery. All around wonderful experience!
