Dr. Abbie Debra Jacobs, MD

Dr. Jacobs is an excellent diagnostician (she caught a thyroid condition in me that an endocrinologist missed) and a deeply compassionate, kind person. The only reason I am not still seeing her is because I moved out of state.

I don't know how good of a doctor Jacobs is, because after waiting for 2 hours, I couldn't waste any more money by being away from work, and had to leave. The staff was unhelpful, if not rude and hostile, and they made no effort to secure me as a new patient (this would have been my first visit). I was appalled at the lack of professionalism and courtesy, and would strongly discourage anyone from visiting Hoboken's Family Medical Center or Dr. Jacobs -- if she is anything like her staff, she is rude, incompetent, lacking empathy and decency.

Every time I have gone to see Dr. Jacobs she has given me enormous kindness. She's a listening ear. She cares about the whole person. Sometimes it takes a bit of a wait to get in but I'm sure it's because she is spending qualitative time with other patients like she does me. I can't recommend her highly enough. She's a truly caring professional and knowledgeable physician.
