Very bad Experience, I don't trust him, I don't recommend him.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Assad for a little over 18 years. From the beginning he’s been nothing but professional. He genuinely cares about me and my mental health issues. Over the years he’s made adjustments to my treatment plan when necessary, always with a good outcome. He’s more than willing to listen to me and my concerns. He’s very easy to talk to. I appreciate his professionalism and expertise in my mental health. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a qualified psychiatrist. Thank you Dr. Assad! I appreciate you!

Complaints were made to the Nevada Board of Medical Examiners about Assad's sexual abuse of patients. A patient was told that the problem would be solved when the doctor would not renew his license in 2023. Untrue! His license has been renewed until 2025. (Note: A medical examining board is composed of a doctor's peers, who may have infractions themselves.) Too often, a medical examining board presents itself as a disciplinary board. In reality, doctors generally protect other doctors. Cronyism!

"Doctor" Abdollah Assad cannot practice and admit patients at West Hills Hospital. He has no hospital affiliation.

Abdollah Assad has sex with patients. One wonders how many lives he has destroyed. The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners has kept this quiet. Assad, 65 years old, is up for license renewal by June 30, 2023. To avoid public exposure, he will simply not renew his license. Thus, the public will never be informed of the psychiatrist's egregious acts. A new California law ensures that doctors found to have engaged in sexual misconduct with patients will never again practice medicine in the state. The law requires the state's medical board to permanently revoke these doctors' licenses instead of allowing them to petition the board for reinstatement after 3 years. There are a number of other review sites in which patients have described the doctor's behavior. A few patients alluded to "some reviews disappearing." Some patients have described the office as a pill mill. Ironically, there are (presently) online ads in which he purports to treat addiction. Patients have reported… that he schedules a great number of patients every day -- a revolving door. This doctor gives psychiatry a very bad name. I'm sure the good doctors in the area are aware of him but they can do nothing if the State Board of Medical Examiners does nothing.

Dr Assad is a great doctor he has helped me out emensly . I was addicted to drugs for years . He really takes the time to listen to me if i was not getting the help from him, l would still be on drugs . Beside addiction problem he's helped me out with other issues i have problems with. I would recommend Dr. Assad to anyone with mental and or addiction problems. Thanks Ted

He propositions his patients for sex in exchange for "help" and medications. I see how he has managed to get a lot of negative reviews removed online. Must be nice to be able to destroy lives with no repercussions...RENO POLICE DEPT and NEVADA MEDICAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS you are complicit.

I have been going to Dr Assad for quite awhile now. Prior to Dr Assad I had 3 other pain doctors and they were simply writing me prescriptions. Two retired (as far as I have been told) and the third moved into a different field. Jumping from Dr to Dr is a real pain but Dr Assad is always available when I want or need to see him. He is the best Dr I’ve had in the last 40 years except for one other who retired 30 years ago. He has a simple office but he and his staff are wonderful.

I have spent weeks trying to get a family member into see a Psychiatrist, Dr Assad saw our family member quickly. Kind, efficient, excellent assessment and immediate treatment and monitoring. Thank you, Patricia Mitchell
