Hands down the best and nicest doctor around, I came as a second opinion from another doctor. I was shocked how busy the waiting room was to see him, it was the busiest I have ever seen. He was able to make changes and help me out in 5-7 minutes of talking with him. I was referred by friend.

If you are looking for an excellent Oncologist, your search could be over now. In the short time we have been under Dr. Shakir's care we have realized that this doctor is quite possibly the best in Central Illinois and beyond. His ability to provide excellent quality of care will amaze you, and (like us) you will thank God that such a doctor really exists. His staff and the Sarah Bush Lincoln Cancer Center is beyond compare too.

Dr. Shakir is my mother's doctor. She has had health issues for a few years that went undiagnosed. I am so GRATEFUL that we found Dr. Shakir. He took immediate action, ordered appropriate tests and had her disorder diagnosed within a week. He is a godsend! The Mattoon area is so fortunate to have him as one of their doctors! He spent quite a bit of time with my mom and explained her condition and answered her questions. He is the best of the best!

Dr.Shakir spent 1 hour with my large family explaining everything to us in such understandable terms that it was like he was teaching us. Our sister was really happy with him and we continue to see him on a regular basis. He found that we had a herditary disorder that other oncologist couldnt figure out. He not only saved my sister he saved me and my daughters

Dr.Shakir is at the University of Illinois at Chicago we saw him in consultation with another physician. His personality was comforting,honest and pleasant. He explained everything to perfection,he called us at home and offered more support.I wish he was in private practice near our location because we absolutely loved him!!!
