Dr. Abel Delgado Jarell, MD

I had an appointment with Dr Jarell. He was abrupt, insensitive ,didn't explain anything, and sent me home with a bottle of pills. No explanation of medication, no explanation of my rash. I won't be returning.

I was very disappointed with Dr. Jarell during an office visit in Feb. 2024 to examine some crustiness on the side of my small toe. The biopsy reported only a callous, but the pain and healing process lasted over six weeks. Had I been referred to a podiatrist, I believe my outcome would have been significantly better. I felt rushed and there was no explanation given as to how deep the cut was (it had to be cauterized) and no instructions to help with the healing process particularly in a foot. I was sent home with a bandaid and told to put vaseline on the toe for a few days. This was the worse encounter I've ever had with a dermatologist. I wouldn't recommend him.

I've never written a review before, but I am sort of in shock from the visit. It felt like he was interrogating me and shaming me. I wasn't able to finish a complete sentence. He seemed incredibly disinterested in hearing about my symptoms. He prescribed me a medication and didn't go through much of anything about the medication/side effects/monitoring. I tried to ask about a specific risk relating to a strong family history, he cut me off and goes "the risk is so insignificant" -- I didn't get to explain why I was asking.

I don’t even know what to call a doctor like this; some kind of typical Nazi. He flew in like a rocket, without asking anything, I pointed out what needed to be removed (some skin tags and brown spots), he removed half of what I indicated and disappeared silently. I sat in shock and asked the assistant (who looked scared too) if he would return because he had not finished the work. She said she would call him, and after 20 minutes he burst in again, with a razor in his hand. I asked "why?" and he said one word - "biopsy". No other explanation. He finished in 1 minute and flew out again without saying anything. I have never before encountered such behavior. I went home in shock. He had prescribed some kind of cream with no explanation, I had to ask the assistant myself. Unfortunately he was only doctor available when I called for appointment,... now I know why - no one wants to deal with such a doctor. I don’t know why the hospital keeps such a person who has no empathy for patients.… P.S. I left 0 for punctuality, he wasn't late, but I want the review total to be a zero because he was that bad.

Had an appointment on Sep 16th of this year for rash on my neck and face that had persisted for weeks. Dr Jarell's assessment was that it would be impossible to identify the cause and that it would go away on its on. No diagnosis or treatment provided. I went to another dermatologist in Dec and she prescribed two different creams for the face and neck. Dr Jarell provided the worst treatment from a physician ever.

Dr. Jarrell has a really good manner. He is very thorough and has picked up on a skin problem that another Doctor missed. He was easy to talk with and did not rush.

He was pompous and seemed bored with my symptoms. Would never see again

I have had a cyst removed by Dr. Jarell. I read some reviews of him which made me a little unsure before seeing him. I can't imagine anyone giving this doctor a bad review. He is wonderful. He is all business, concise and he let me ask all the questions I wanted. I didn't feel rushed and he was very concerned with my comfort while doing the procedure. I felt that he was confident & skilled. I would recommend him to any family or friends.
