Dr. Abelardo Arango, MD

I had a hernia repair with Dr. Arango. He sent me home with an Rx for ibuprofen. When I called back in great pain about 8 hours after the procedure he told me that I shouldn’t be in that much pain and essentially blew me off. The next morning after the surgery I called back explaining that I was in excruciating pain and all he said was that I should go to the ER as I shouldn’t be in pain. He basically couldn’t care less. He got paid for his surgery and that’s all he cares about. I completely understand the opioid epidemic and support doctors not over or unnecessarily prescribing, but after an invasive surgery, I would think that a surgeon would be justified in helping their patients be comfortable while their body heals.

I was calling as a new patient.I had to wait forever, and then the first lady that answered asked if my insurance was commercial, and I said that I wasn't sure so she started to argue that I had to know in a really bad way.I told her that she had to explain me because I didn't know what that means, and she hung up. Then, I called back, and I was explaining all to another one named Lourdes, and she told me to stop complaining in a really bad way too. It's impossible to get to the doctor this way.

Dr. Arango is an excellent surgeon and a very humane doctor. As one of his patients this year, I can honestly say that I have not met a kinder or more competent person. He is an inspiration to all of us who have had the blessing of being treated by him.

Its very human, knows very well what he does. Great doctor, quality time with you. Friendly and the Best between all I search for thyroid cáncer.
