Dr. Abid Malik, MD

Abid Malik, MD, is board certified in psychiatry (ABPN), psychosomatic medicine (ABPN), sleep medicine (ABPN) and addiction medicine (ABAM). He has been in practice since 2007, treating inpatients and outpatients with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses. He is also on the staff of South Seminole Hospitals Sleep Disorder Center. He received his medical school training from the University of Karachi. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Albany Medical Center, N.Y. Dr. Malik is an assistant professor of psychiatry (volunteer faculty) at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and serves as one of the clinical preceptors for UFs Physician Assistant Program. He has presented several research posters and published multiple research papers. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychological Association, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Society of Addiction Medicine.
