Dr. Aclan Dogan, MD

I had a brain aneurysm and was referred to Dr Dogan. Dr Dogan ended up doing a cerebral clipping on me. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly what he’s doing !! Dr Dogan is a rockstar in his field and really made me feel like a person not just a patient. When rounding he would come in with his team of 100 people lol (slight exaggeration) but a lot Many of his team state how lucky and happy they are to be able to work with him. He has saved my life and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Your brain is safe in the hands of Dr Aclan Dogan. Would give 10 stars if possible

While my wife was in pre-op she asked Dr. Erick Brown a question rearing to how many of these surgeries he has been involved with, looking for some reassurance with the team. He tried to lecture her about how this was a teaching hospital and it didn’t matter and he wasn’t going to answer the question. She tried to ask him again and he rudely interrupted he and told her that he wasn’t going answer the her question and told her that it was an in appropriate question to ask. Dr. Brown was rude, disrespectful, and lacks any kind of patient care. Dr. Brown needs a crash course on trauma informed patient care. On the other hand Dr. Dugan is a incredible doctor who truly is great at what he does. If you want your news, prognosis, or outcome to be sugar coated then find someone else. He is straight forward no nonsense.

He is one of the few people in Oregon who do surgery for Moyamoya disease, which I have. It is quite rare, and I was happy to have him as my durgeon. He has a great bedside manner which made it quite pleasant to see him!

LLast year, I had an unexpected stroke 9 days after I gave birth to my daughter. It was the scariest thing I've ever been through by far! I live about 4 hours away from where this doctor is located at. So, I had to be life-flighted to Portland and I'm extremely thankful that I ended up in the hands of this Dr! There's nothing more that I love than my family! I have 2 beautiful little girls, an ex fiance who is a great friend that I love and an amazing family. ..A wonderful mom and brother, lots of Aunts, uncles and cousins many nieces and nephews; each and every one of these people I love with all my heart! I couldn't imagine not being here to be with them and with the little ones; not being able to watch them grow! When I met the man who saved my life I told him of course, Thank you", but also said "it's not sufficient enough for what he did for me! "You can definitely tell the great doctors aside from the"ok"doctors, and he is fantastic! You can definitely tell he is compassionate;… he follows up on his patients, and is concerned! Thank god for him!!

6 months ago I was not sure if I would be here. The first surgery didn't go well. The second saved my life. This doctor performed a difficult surgery and now I have been back to full-time work for the last 3 months. I spent 2 weeks in RIO learning how to swallow, walk and talk. I now can dance, work and almost ride my mountain bike. I intend on zip-lining through the jungle again next year. I am a healthy 51 year old woman. I would love for Dr. Dogan to share my surgery results with everyone. I thank God for this man who knew how to heal my brain anyerism.
