Dr. Adam Jonathan Cohen, MD

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Cohen for approximately 10 years. He is extremely caring and knowledgeable and is totally committed to his patients. He will do whatever it takes for his patients to receive the best care possible. He relates to patients of all ages and has a way of making you very feel comfortable (as well as ensures he gives you all the time you need). I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for an excellent psychiatrist!

Dr. Cohen is worth the wait. I had been on the wait list for quite some time because he is so busy, but it was well worth it. He’s easy to talk to and I left the first appointment feeling like he understood me. One month later and I feel better than I have in years.

I have been seeing Dr. Cohen for the past 9 months after seeing roughly 5 other psychiatrists over the past 3 or 4 years. None of them understood me and I felt weird talking to them about my deepest feelings. The first time I met with Dr. Cohen I was instantly put at ease, and felt like I could talk to him - he just understood me and seemed kind of cool. I often keep things quiet and can't confide in my parents. He has a great way with younger patients. Since seeing him, I have found the right medications and go into him every couple months for therapy. I would recommend him (and I have) to my friends and family in a heartbeat.

Dr. Cohen was suggested to me by a family friend. I went in for an initial appointment and knew right away that I was in the hands of a very smart and qualified clinician. Its been almost three years since that appointment and I have found a stronger sense of identity and self confidence. Dr. Cohen was working with me through the darkest time of my life and helped me to see the light. I am actively seeing Dr. Cohen and would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Dr. Cohen knows what he's doing. Easy to talk to. Extremely knowledgable. Quickly puts you at ease. Really nice/comfortable office. Highly recommend. Awesome doc!

I started taking my daughter to see Dr. Cohen last year when she was going through a very tough time. He has helped our entire family tremendously, and because of that I felt the need to post a review in hopes of sharing our extremely positive experience. He is a wonderful doctor. He's very kind, thoughtful and considerate. His bedside manner makes you feel at ease almost instantly, which can be tough when you are dealing with high school aged kids! Regarding medication and their side effects, which is always a concern for a parent, he is very knowledgable and is very decisive in which medication he will and will not prescribe. He is not quick to medicate but a bit slower and more cautious and won't prescribe medication unless absolutely warranted. I appreciate this about him. Overall, he is patient, empathetic and prompt (yet never rushes us or makes a session feel pressured.) He is highly regarded in this area by not just his patients but other therapists/psychiatrists in the… area.

I have been seeing Dr. Cohen for the past 3 years. He has helped me through some extremely tough times. He is extremely sincere, caring, compassionte and knowledgable. He has a really nice way of making you feel comfortable. I look forward to my sessions with Dr. Cohen as I know I will always come out feeling better. Also, he's always on time which I think is pretty rare for a doctor these days. I don't think I have ever waited longer than 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend him to my friends (as I have in the past!) and anyone that is looking for a good psychiatrist. Thank you Dr. Cohen!

Dr. Cohen was referred to me by another psychiatrist's office that was not taking any new patients at the moment. He is kind, he listens carefully and immediately makes parents and the patient feel like he cares and is going to help. Instead of fighting with my son about going to the doctor he looks forward to seeing Dr. Cohen and I have seen great improvement. He is not quick to medicate for no reason, etc. He will take time and not rush you which is so rare nowadays.

Fortunately or unfortunately I have had a lot of experience with pediatric pyschs over the course of the last 7 years so I speak with a pretty good understanding of the area; however, it wasn't until my children, all adopted, met with Dr. Cohen that I believed we were on the right track...he immediately makes them feel at home, he's not stuffy at all and gets the kids to open up and have a *real* dialogue when others couldn't; he's not one to over-medicated like others we've seen and has an up-to-date knowledge of treatment and meds; he knows what he's doing and sincerely wants to help. Most importantly, they are seeing results! They are grounded, more confident, and in touch with their emotions and behavior. We've seen over 10 doctors over the past several years between the three children and, by far, this has been the best experience yet. I have never posted a review on these sites (ever) but feel compelled to do so because, well, it is warranted and it would be great to see… people get the help that my family has received.

My son has seen Dr. Cohen for about 2 years to treat his ADD. He is always on time, interested, understanding and very knowledgeable. I would feel very confident in recommending this doctor to someone.
