Dr. Friedman is ok but his staff is rude and unprofessional.

The staff is very incompetent. Not only do they not ask routine questions, they make a patient feel as though they are wrong when the staff is questioned. They do not follow through with requests. The person answering the phone is not friendly at all.

I visited Dr. Adam Friedman for seasonal allergies, congestion, and for some advice for a suspected deviated septum. His office was quiet and clean, the staff kind, and I liked the ease of online paperwork to speed up intake. The doctor quickly diagnosed my condition, advised me of my options if I choose to fix my deviated septum, and described the entire surgery and all aspects involved. I was scheduled for surgery two weeks later. Dr. Friedman performed my surgery quickly, Made no marks on the outside of the nose, there was o visible swelling just one day later, and I only had to take Tylenol for Pain. I visited the doctor two times after the operation to checkup on how my nose was recovering. All in all, the fix only took a month with a second check up a month later. Dr. Friedman is one of the most professional and caring doctors I've ever visited, he sets the bar for excellence in medicine in my book.

Rarely does anyone like going to the doctor,waiting in the office with a bunch of sick people is just not for me. The normal protocol is you go to your General physician to get a referral to a specialist, which in most cases, takes a few days and your symptoms either get worse or better. Last year I was referred to Santa Clarita Ear, Nose and Throat for a throat problem. I normally get sinus infections at least 4 times a year and they last between 2 and 3 weeks. When I found their office on Smyth Drive away from the normal medical offices I thought it was unusual, when I entered the office I was impressed. I like the office design, and set up, and the staff was professional and kind. There are several doctors that share the office. They have their own CT Scanner and the facility is state of the art. My doctor was Dr.Adam Friedman. I did not have to wait longer than 5 minuets or less, and I found him to be kind and professional. He cleaned out my ears, gave me a once over and a few… other tests and sent me to a voice therapist they had in their office. Later, I saw Dr. Friedman for a chronic sore throat, he found that my throat was damaged by a breathing tube from a previous surgery. I went to therapy which was also conveniently at his office. Great facility! Nearly one year later, I went to my GP for a yearly physical. My GP noticed I had a sinus infection "again" and recommended a CT scan to see if I was a candidate for surgery. At that point I declined his prescription for the CT and told him I wanted to go to Santa Clarita ENT. I told him how impressed I was with Dr. Friedman and wanted to deal with him. He told me they had a great reputation and to go forward. I called their office and had no problem getting an appointment that same day. I saw Dr. Friedman, and he ordered a CT scan for the next day at their office. He wanted to confirm the coverage by my insurance for the procedure. This was the only problem I had with their office. I was told that my insurance's in network only paid 80% and out of network was 70%. They were incorrect on that information they provided, but most likely it was and insurance error. Dr. Friedman reviewed my CT scan with me and showed me my deviated septum and a very infected right sinus. He told me his normal procedure would be to take antibiotics for three weeks and to rescan. I explained my history with sinus infections and that I wanted to have the surgery before the end of the year, mind you it was Dec 18th,he took me into his surgery scheduler and they called the Valencia Surgery Center where he performs his surgeries - I have had a couple of surgeries there great place. Dr.Friedman normally performs surgeries on Fridays, but they were totally booked. He was going on vacation the next week so he could have told me, "sorry no can do," but he took a spot on Monday which is his normal office day. The weekend before the surgery I called Dr. Friedman and told him I thought maybe I was jumping the gun, "I was getting cold feet after reviewing all the comments and information on the internet about sinus surgery." Dr Friedmam reminded me that his normal procedure would be antibiotics for three weeks, but he guaranteed that I would benefit from surgery. I found an interesting video online where they show the procedure that I hoped I was having. They now do the surgery using the CT scan and it directs the camera and doctor so he can be more precise in sinus operation. I was in and out in about 2 hours, I woke up expecting the end of the world but could hardly tell I just had sinus surgery it was just like he said I had a minor cold feeling, not pain, not much blood and I was actualy able to breath through my nose a bit though I was told not to for the first day. It is the second day and I am off to work. Dr Friedman came through on his word with confidence. And by the way, I asked all the nurses at the surgery center what they thought of Doctor Friedman: A +!I would recommend him to anyone. Great Job doc. Thanks a million!
