Dr. Adam D. Glener, MD

My experience started as stage 1 breast cancer. I’d been scheduled for a breast reduction with a different dr and on my last mammogram my cancer showed up so all my planning was gone!!! All of a sudden I had a team of four doctors suddenly assigned to me of which none I chose. So at first I was scared, upset and disappointed cause the dr I chose didn’t have privileges to work at the same hospital as my oncologist surgeon so Dr. Glener was chosen by him Dr. Bebbs. So I went with it and I’m so glad I did!! My first visit I was terrified, confused and disappointed but almost instantly Dr. Glener washed those fears away! He’s kind caring and listens! I’m seven weeks post I from a lumpectomy and bilateral breast reduction and my results are unbelievable! I’m a42 year old mom of two young children and I was a32h. My breasts were never perky and from the age ten when the awful purple stretch marks came I hated them ever since! Now for the first time in my life I love them! I know they’re not… supposed to be twins but I can’t tell! Before my surgery and actually for years I’ve looked at before and after pictures and honestly they scared me so I set my expectations low. I didn’t even think it was possible to get my breasts so perky with perfect placing and sizing off everything! The entire team there is awesome!! The nurses are so sweet and it shows they care!! I’m convinced the reason he gave me exactly what I wanted is because he listens!! He doesn’t go by cup sizes. He direct show you pictures and you show him what you like. He simply listened to me! Most men don’t realize women tell you exactly what they want but he does!! So to anyone out there go to Dr. Glener he is a caring empathetic doctor which in my experience is hard to find! Both Wilmington plastic surgery and Wilmington surgical have shown me a different side of the health care system and renewed my faith in doctors!!! I hope and pray some day more doctors are like them!! Thank you DrGlener for finally giving me a positive body image and for simply caring!!!! Also, a thank you to his entire team he can’t do it without great women like them!!!
