Dr. Aditya Chopra, MD

New to the area and do not have a PCP yet. My wife is a patient of Dr. Chopra. I am having a non-emergency rectal issue and wanted to see a doctor after going to Urgent Care. Urgent care did not send me to the hospital. Said I had a fungal infection and gave a cream. Told me to see my doctor if it did not get better, I might need oral meds. I called the office since I have not established a Dr in the area. They told me to go to the hospital. I pushed back since Urgent Care did not think that was needed. They insisted! I explained I have normal movements, not bleeding, and the anus looks normal. I asked if I could make a new patient appointment, so I could send medical information somewhere. They said No. Dr. Chopra got on the phone and I hoped he would help, I have never experienced a doctor with such a lack of compassion. The office manager was the worst. Went back to Urgent care, they helped me and gave me a referral for a gastroenterologist. Have an appointment in 2… days.

Arrogant. I saw him only 15 minutes on 4 visits.

If you have a good insurance or a lot of money in the bank then Dr. Chopra is your Doctor. He asks for unnecessary tests, from ultrasound examinations, EKG and arterial droplet tests. Just to make his wallet heavy which is really sad and pathetic. When I asked him why he asks for so many tests he got very aggressive with me. He said that I don’t need to teach him how to do his job. He only cares about making money out of you then seeing you getting better.

Dr. Chopra is GREAT! I have been with him since 2000. His care of my mother until she died from MDS was unbelievable and very caring. He was always available 24/7 or had another doctor on call for him.

I began seeing doctor Chopra when he took over for Dr. Mitchell's practice in Annapolis many years ago. Dr. Chopra is exceptional. He is no nonsense when it comes to treatment and what I respect about him is that he does not hesitate to send you to a specialist to ensure a proper diagnosis. I have known internists in the past that tend to think they are experts in everything. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor they can trust.

Very medically aggressive doctor. Definitely not a wait-and-see approach. I appreciate that. Exceptional with treatment options.
