Dr. Adrian Karl Hamburger, MD

He refused to do tests on my neck. He also told me no MRI because I was claustophbic and that these things usually go away in 3 months. I did have an MRI ordered by my Primary without any claustrophobia. This man also said he did not receive X-rays after 3 were given to him. After over a year of extreme pain I have a wonderful compassionate orthopedic surgeon who will help me by doing an Ablation on my neck by burning the nerves n my neck which is causing this awful pain. Stay away from this doctor who does not care!

I saw this doctor for pain management. I brought him a cd copy of my x ray my primary ordered. On my first visit he told me the cd was not from my neck and that he would have me sign for the right cd from the hospital. He told me he would not do any test on me. I inquired about a MRI. His answer was that I had claustrophobia and could not do that. I have never had claustraphobia in my life! He also told me my neck pain would most likely be gone in a few months. He ordered a pain pill which kept me up all night vomiting. When I called I was told to stop taking them with no other suggestions. On the next visit I was told he did not receive the x ray from the hospital. Again he told most likely be gone in three months. I was in so much pain that I discussed this with my pulmonary doctor. He suggested I send the "pain management " doctor a copy of my recent chest cat scan to view my neck. I called the office to verify that they receieved it. He did not a call back. I canceled my… next appointment. This doctor is the most uncaring doctor I have ever seen. His nurse practitioner was wonderful.

Dr Hamburger was referred to me by the subbase hospital. Post lumbar fusion by Dr. Pugsley, L&M hospital. He treated me for two years and consistently lied to me. The reasons were 100% unethical. A visit to Dr. Halprin (spine surgeon), William Backus Hospital, confirmed an error had been made during the surgery and a calcium stone was left behind. Dr Hamburger had been viewing all my films for the previous two years.

We are fortunate to have him in our area!

I've been seeing Dr. Hamburger for 2 yrs for my spondylolisthesis and spinal stenosis. He is very kind, and compassionate. He is very knowledgeable and confident doctor. He has been treating me with injections that did help relieve the pain some. Unfortunately, it has gotten to the point of quality of life...the pain has worsened. He was most gracious to send me to an orthopedic surgeon at Yale for a second opinion per my request. Thank you for helping me and most importantly, listening to me...you are wonderful!

My doctor called and requested an urgent visit - I have been suffering from some of the worst back pain in a long time (and I have struggled with back pain since high school). He fit me in during his lunch hour, spent close to an hour with me - was very patient, reviewed all 4 (!) of my CDs with MRIs, CTs - answered all of my questions. He scheduled me for an injection the next day... It has been 2 months now, and I still can't believe how much better I feel - I was able to rake leaves for 3 hours yesterday! I am so thankful to have met this doctor.

I have lived a long time with pain so I went in with my doubts. I was immediately disarmed by Dr. Hamburger's sensitivity and intelligence. He did a thorough evaluation and really got to know me. The injections he did for my back pain were done so well that I wasn't even sore after the procedure (which is a first for me!). He improved my pain so much. Thank you Dr. Hamburger!

He figured out my problem - my previous doctors told me to learn to live with it (after 3 failed surgeries). Dr. Hamburger took his time, communicated with my other doctors, and has now helped me immensely. I played golf for the first time in 4 years - thanks to his treatment.

After incredible pain for one month went to Dr Adrian Hamburger for an injection. After 4 years I am still doing fine. Dr Hamburger is the most caring doctor I seen in an long time. Best wishes for his future.

Figured out my problem after 5 doctors couldn't, and has helped me get my life back on track.
