Dr. Adrian Russell Smith, MD

Adrian Smith has made Jackson his home. After growing up in Baton Rouge, he attended Millsaps College and graduated with a BS in biology. From there he moved to Shreveport, where he attended LSU Health Science Center. Dr. Smith returned to UMC in Jackson, where he completed residencies in both general surgery and plastic surgery. During his seven years at University, Dr. Smith was exposed to a full spectrum of reconstructive, pediatric, cranio-facial, and cosmetic procedures. He currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at St. Dominic Hospital.

Because of his strong interest in breast and body surgery, Dr. Smith was invited to be a speaker at the inaugural Bariatric Plastic Surgery Workshop. He presented options for both breast reduction and breast reshaping or mastopexy. In addition to lecturing in these areas, he collaborated on presentations dealing with advanced liposuction and the use of ultrasound in both breast surgery and liposuction.

Dr. Smith’s …interest also includes facial rejuvenation, and he works closely with the Face and Body Spa to provide both surgical and non-surgical options for his patients. He is one of the few doctors in the state approved to use Sculptra, a new, long-lasting facial filler. He is keenly aware that a youthful facade requires maintenance, skin therapy, and surgical intervention, and he’s dedicated to providing just that for his patients.

He and his wife Jessica are the proud parents of three children: Olivia, Luke, and Sam. They attend First Presbyterian Church and are active in their Sunday school class. Outside of his family and medicine, Dr. Smith is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys amateur photography.
