Dr. Adrienne Nicole Burrows, MD

Dr. Adrienne Burrows is amazing. In the past 10 years relocating back home to Los Angeles after living out of state collectively 17 years, I’ve been through at least a half dozen Internal Medicine/Primary doctors. Dr. Burrows has great bedside manners. Is very knowledgeable. She takes time with her patients. She actually READS all your medical records to accurately diagnose her patients. She listens. She literally saved my life 4 years ago. I’d worn myself down so bad after working 24/7 in a demanding environment for 6.5 years without a real vacation. My vacation was ignored for over a month. She recognized the risk of me continuing without a break, and took action. 4 years later my health is great, and I’ve learned to balance my life better. Recently, I had the flu that led to bronchitis. I went to emergency and two other doctors a few weeks before, and there was no mention. When I went to Dr. Burrows she read ALL my reports, and properly diagnosed me and treated my symptoms. … I highly recommend Dr. Burrows.

Dr. Burrows is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. I really like her a lot. The reason for the four-star review is that it is very frustrating when you call during office hours and get sent to voicemail. I have called over and over again telling them I really needed to talk to someone and it took forever for someone to call me back. Very, very unprofessional.

I don’t recommend her

The most unorganized and unhelpful doctor's office. Never available on the phone during office hours. Fifty minute wait to see a doctor when you scheduled an appointment in advance is not acceptable! Wrote me a wrong prescription... The most unprofessional Doctor I have ever encountered!!! Stay away!

The problem with this Doctor's office is nobody ever picks up the phone, they close for two hours for lunch and screen calls Fridays. There is no way to speak to a medical "professional" say if you have a question about your medication, the doctor or a nurse cannot be reached, it's a very small overall staff that is poorly organized. You have to wait 2-3 weeks after your blood text (that is administered at separate Labcorps) to receive a response. She doesn't call you, email the results, or mail them, she said she'll only call if it's bad news. The Doctor put in the wrong blood orders for my tests, she didn't follow up until I called multiple times taking weeks. It took her four weeks to provide me with a specialist recommendation I asked for. Unfortunately I do not see a sense of care for patience, professionalism, and even knowledge on how to be a proper physician. Save yourself the stress.

She is the worst Dr. in the history of medicine.

Dr. Burrows shares her suite with several doctors. When I showed up to my very first appointment, her office was CLOSED. After standing in the lobby for twenty minutes, I asked a receptionist at a different doctor's window what the deal was. She then found Dr. Burrows' assistant who was dressed in sweats in the back room. I was told that the Dr. has an emergency and wasn't going to be coming in. At all. Wonderful! Not like I missed work to be there on a weekday. Not like I own a phone so that I could be informed of the cancellation. My second first appointment was also a disaster, albeit in a different way. The nurse had the worst bed side manner I have ever come across. No greeting, no smile. Took my vitals, THREW me a gown and walked off. She gave me a shot on the wrong arm and didn't even bother putting on gloves or using hand sanitizer. Dr. Burrows was nice, but clearly not with it. She couldn't find my lab results, forgot to do my Pap smear, forgot to phone in my prescriptions… to the pharmacy and did not put in an insurance authorization for a medically necessary procedure. I called the office a total of five times to follow up. Three messages on the answering service and two with the receptionist. No return calls. No prescriptions. No referral for my procedure. Please don't trust this office with your healthcare.

AWESOME DOCTOR!!!!! Very thorough and compassionate!

I can't even get the staff to return any of my calls so that I can schedule an appointment. I've been reach an actual person for over a month. I give up! They are obviously too busy to take on additional patients if they can never answer the phone or return phone calls.

I'm not going to give the blow-by-blow, but this office has told me that someone/the doctor would call me back so many times that I've basically thrown in the towel. I was waiting on the results of a CT scan of my BRAIN, and the office didn't bother to let me know that the lump was in fact benign. The doctor was supposed to follow up, to give me a specialist referral to treat said lump, and hasn't returned any of the calls; it'd probably be less infuriating if the receptionists didn't straight-up lie and say I'd hear back THAT DAY! Mind you, I haven't been calling obsessively and have given them ample time to call back. My one and only appointment with Dr. Burrows was three months ago; I just want this to be over! Thank goodness I'm not suffering in the mean time! This is the worst service I've ever received in my life, PERIOD. I have also been waiting for letters from my insurance provider regarding referrals that Dr. Burrows gave me; they have been sent more than once… (months ago) and I am beginning to suspect it is something on the doctor end rather than insurance end. In retrospect I remember some waiting room to-do with a man coming into the office to speak with the doctor, sans appointment. I assumed he was crazy/harassing them/in the wrong, but I'm pretty sure I was mistaken. ease of appointment--they considered a lump serious enough to schedule an appointment within days (the only positive here) promptness--I was on time and waited about an hour courteous staff--courteous liars, I guess accurate diagnosis--did I get a diagnosis? bedside manner--she didn't seem open to questions & I found it unsettling that she didn't ask if there were additional symptoms spends time with me--the appointment was less than 5 minutes follows up after visit--HAHA
