Dr. Afreen Khan, DO

Dr. Khan's knowledge, kindness, and genuine concern for her patients set her apart. She's among the best doctors I've ever had.

I had to Dr. Google all of my symptoms and possible diagnoses before she'd go into more detail and then dismissed each of them. While I was never provided a diagnosis, each visit ended with yet another prescription.

Didn't listen to symptoms, didn't examine the affected body part. Said everything was anxiety or stress from worrying about covid or homeschooling. Neither of which are correct. I have a preschooler, we learned about the color red today...not exactly anxiety inducing. I requested a standard test for my condition, she declined. Instead ordered tests that were a complete waste of time and not indicated for my concerns simply to placate me. Asked if I had any questions, but dismissed them without discussion.

The most pretentious, patronizing and judgy doctor I've had the misfortune of dealing with. Forced me to take tests (hostage refills), charged me for tests, BUT THEN DIDNT BOTHER GIVING ME THE RESULTS ALONG WITH AN EXPLANATION. At appointment says she'd refill what was needed right then and I could call in the rest as needed, then refuses to give refills unless I come in. I began going to her because I was new to area. I knew exactly what my issue was. Instead of trusting that I understand my own medical situation she refused (for a year) to give me the treatment I needed. Then after I asked for my test results I was told Dr. Khan said I need the treatment I had told her a year earlier that I needed. But she was too busy being a patronizing know-it-all to do her job in the first place. So glad I never have to deal with this creep again.

Dr Khan is not personable she does not greet you or say hello and I did not see her smile once. She came into the appointment with a big frown on her face. She did not even ask me what my name was. She has a prepared answer for every concern I had, its either stress or I need to stop doing whatever I'm doing, her tone was defensive and condescending and she was obviously in a rush. I would not trust this doctor with my life. She skipped through parts of my physical exam. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire appointment and could not wait to get out. The staff, on the other hand are extremely nice, accommodating and patient and I didn't have to wait at all to be seen.

I saw Dr. Khan for a hospital follow up visit. She came in ready to just restate what I heard from the hospital without first hearing how I was doing at the time of the appointment. She did not seem compassionate about my concerns. There was no follow up to my visit.

Dr. Khan is caring and friendly I immediatley felt comfortable with her. She diagnosed me immediatley and had me feeling better right away. Her staff is caring and wonderful
