Afshin Aminian

Dr. Afshin Aminiam is hands-down one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure to meet, and with 3 active teens I have been to a LOT of doctors over the years. Dr. Aminian is not your typical doctor. He made us feel like we were the only patients he had all day. He took his time explaining what was going on, showed us pictures and examples, and made sure we understood what he was talking about (without being condescending or talking down to us – it was almost like he was a neighbor we had known a long time – I’m not sure how to explain it). He had a calming presence and made my daughter feel comfortable discussing her situation when she normally hates speaking with doctors. What’s more, I trust him. He was the fourth specialist we saw and we are finally confident in the diagnosis. He is amazing. I wish more doctors were like him! We went to his Irvine office and waited less than 5 minutes to see him, which is not always the case at POSOC. Even if we had to wait, I would do… it because he is worth the wait!

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Arash Aminian when I saw him for my QME. He had not read any of my prior medical records provided to him by my WC case manager weeks in advance and did not even bother to ask me any relevant questions to my injury and take detailed history. He spent very short time with me and did a very limited exam with a clear predetermined mindset. His written QME report was full of inaccurate information, some falsely attributed to me with total disregard for my symptoms and level of pain despite his objective findings, making medicolegal conclusion and recommendations which was completely inconsistent with his own documentations and findings and contrary to the reports by many other physicians and another orthopedist whom I had seen in previous months thru WC referrals and for the same condition and injury. A complete disappointment to say the least and unethical physician.

Dr. Aminian, I believe, is an absolutely wonderful doctor. He is an extremely great communicator that made me, the patient, feel comfortable and educated on my condition.

Excellent orthopedic surgeon with wonderful bedside manner. Incredibly fortunate to have him care for our beloved son and correct his severe scoliosis.

We have had to see him twice. He was wonderful both times. And the good thing is that my husband is an ER Doc at a local hospital and he feels he is the best.

Simply the best in all categories.

Poor knowledge of brachial plexus injury surgical repair. Didn't recognize his own surgical mistake and needed to have another surgeon tell him what the problem was.Thankfully he doesn't seem to be doing these surgeries anymore.

Brilliant yet gracious - a great combo. He is a wonderful physician.
