Dr. Afshin J Emami, MD

Made the appointment for sleep problems, more than a month in advance. Got there, and staff told me I was not scheduled with this doctor after confirming the appointment the day before. Insurance cleared me to see a different doctor. Not only was I scheduled to see Dr emami on a day he wasn't even in the office, but after waiting 45 minutes, I walked out and filed my complaint with the health insurance. Still have yet to see if they try billing me. Disappointed that I had to work later hours for this appointment and was treated as if I don't matter.

Started out good because he sent my for a scan which another ENT physician hadn’t. But then it was down hill from there. He did biopsy without anesthetic. When asked if it would hurt he replied “won’t hurt me at all”. Thought he was being funny until realizing It seemed like he didn’t really care if his patient was in pain. Was told biopsy results would take 7-10 days. Persistence on our part found out results were back in 4 days but his office would not release them to us. This is cancer we were talking about! No compassion. Office is disorganized. Got results of biopsy another way and found out he missed the lymph node the “ultrasound guided” biopsy was performed on. Severe pain yielded no results. Would NEVER recommend this man and wouldn’t let him work on my pets let alone my husband. Just plain unkind. And when I went with my husband to his appointment, Dr. Emami ignored me until my husband introduced me so emami had to acknowledge me. Wondering if he has an issue with women?… Also agree with others about overbooking. We checked in for biopsy and someone else had checked in for appt at the same time. No wonder he missed the target during biopsy. Rush rush rush.

I have been a sinus sufferer for over 60 years. Dr Emami did sinus surgery for me Jan 2018. I was given 2 pills to help me relax during the procedure. Yes the first 2 days post surgery was miserable. But after that I have had only very minimal issues. I only wish i had this done sooner. Dr Emami and his staff are great!

DR. EMAMI is a genius! I am so grateful to have been lead to HIS MEDICAL PRACTICE. I had been having trouble breathing thru my nose for along long time. From start to finish HE has taken charge and this in a short time frame of 90 days or so! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND DR.EMAMI!

Dr. Emami has a warm smile and exudes confidence. He is easy to talk to, explains the procedure he is about to do, and is genuinely happy when the results are good.

I came to Dr. Emami after having extensive sinus surgery from another provider. Unfortunately I continued to have an overwhelming sinus infection even after my surgery and follow up care. Everything changed for me when Dr. Emami took over. For the first time in years I have not had a sinus headache and my overall health has greatly improved. I am so appreciative for all he has done for me.

Dr. Emami is very courteous and professional. He explained my procedure in great detail and took the time to answer my questions. After my surgery, I felt great and I would highly recommend Dr. Emami.
