Second was even better! Personable and caring good humored and light sensitive and direct. It was a pleasure knowing he was in charge and I see why the entire staff was simply one of the best experiences we could have asked for. Me and my family Thank you!!

My first interaction with this doctor was when he showed up for what I am told is his 1100 discharge hour. Thankfully when my amazing RN and Case Manager for Sharp saw him coming my way, they made sure to be there along with Dr. Wang. As they are discussing my case and the actions to take, in a nutshell he says they can’t do anything more for me there so to send me to a nursing home. I’m a very young 43 and was experiencing some significant weakness with unknown origin, tremors, and confusion. I also suffer from spine and neck injuries, so all this together had quite an impact on my body and at that moment it took its toll on my emotions! There was almost a waterfall about to flow in that room! Dr. Wang wanted to run some more tests and labs and we agreed I would stay another night and some tests were run last night and some this morning. I was so grateful for those three women in my room to advocate for me. Fast forward to today, I’m still weak and using a walker to walk… around. Accepting that in itself is rough for me, but back to the point. He came in this morning and I wasn’t sure what to expect, he told me Dr. Wang ordered more tests (just one more, an MRA due to an incidental finding). She said it wasn’t urgent because what it would be treated with is a medication I’m already on. I was told I’d have to wait until after 5pm to get it done. I agreed with him in me not having the MRA today, that’s about the only thing I agree with this man on. Around 0300 this morning I had a severe migraine and asked for medication. My nurse Eric was awesome enough to call the hospitalist to take care of that. Apparently, once doctor Nahavandi determines you’re ok to discharge he won’t do another thing for you. I was waiting on the walker and other things and it was almost 3 hours after he determined I was good to go and me actually leaving. I asked my nurse, Samantha, who was an absolute doll, for an imitrex. She called him and he said no because I was going to leave. She explained to him that I had an order in there for it because I had a migraine while I was there. He still said no and she asked if she could at least give me Tylenol and his response was “fine, fine, give her Tylenol”. In my eyes this was a jerk move, he said no just because he could. If you’ve ever had migraines, they suck! This was one of those nausea, vomiting, light sensitivity type of migraines. Although he is in my medical group, I will never accept care from him again.
