If you want a condescending, uncomfortable experience, then look no further. Not only is he discerned with his patients, you would be lucky that he would even remember your name. I’ve seen him about eight times in the past year, and not once has he said my name without shuffling through his mess of paperwork. He is extremely rude, and will cut you off mid sentence each and every time. Horrible horrible horrible experience.

This was not my doctors choice for psychiatrist, but his choice didn't have availability for 3 months. Dr. Khan was available within a week of calling, so there I went. This was my first time at a psychiatrist office, and like many people, I didn't know what to expect. After signing in, I waited 45 minutes until my appointment. I asked the office staff if this was normal and they assured me he usually runs behind but not that late. Okay, fine. Entering the office, he did not introduce himself, he did not even LOOK at me! I introduced myself and expressed that it was very disrespectful to keep patients waiting this long, etc. I sat in corner chair of his office while he sat at his computer with his back turned to me. He asked me very specific questions, which I answered, then elaborated on to make myself feel better because it was obvious that he wasn't listening. He was filling out the electronic document of drop-down menu options. I was in his office about 15 minutes and… he looked at me TWO TIMES and asked me multiple times about the other people in my family with mental illness. This is my intake by the way. After this mind-numbing experience, I was given TWO diagnoses and was given two heavy prescriptions. I told him I don't want to take a chronic medication and won't take the medication he prescribed me because I don't feel that he spent enough time with me to be prescribing this medication. I don't even need medication! In all, he spent more time on my family history of mental illness than my own. All of his questions seemed to come from the computer. I think the 7-minute online anxiety test told me more than he did. And at least my PCP provided me with a print-out of my diagnosis! Khan asked a few questions and wrote prescriptions, then was offended when I questioned him about his ethics. Very unhappy with him and his "service". I felt like he used me to catch up to his schedule again.

No way he did not write his own good reviews. Horrible. I saw this doctor twice for anxiety. I felt that he was just going through the motions and uninterested in my issues but rather filling out paper work. The second time I saw him I was on the verge of having a panic attack. As I was talking to him, he yawned!!!!! I have been dealing with anxiety my entire life, there are times when I know when I need Xanax. Every few years or so, not on a regular basis. I asked for it and he said no. I said why and he insisted that I had a drinking problem!! I do not!! He said the Topamax should be helping with my drinking cravings. So I asked him if I had such a drinking problem why he wasn't increasing that and he said...."you can go to medical school and treat all the patients!" I told him he was extremely rude!! I have never been so disrespected in my life!! I went there to get my anxiety under control and he pushed me over the edge. I left in tears and had an anxiety attack by the time I… reached my car. Really could have used a Xanax! He thinks he is a God with a prescription pad. He must not realize that he is dealing with emotionally unstable people!

I was forced into seeing dr. Khan when my original psychiatrist left the office and he was her replacement. Most of these reviews are spot on. I've been seeing my prior doc for bipolar disorder and anxiety and he had no idea why I was in his office. He didn't look at my chart, continuously interrupted me and when I told him my mom was a drug addict he assumed I was even though I've only ever drank in my life because I didn't want to be like her. He asked me if ever did cocaine or heroine THREE times like he didn't believe me. So being the "addict" I was he wouldn't prescribe me the Klonopin I've been taking for five years for my panic attacks (which has been the same dosage, not increasing ever) but as I was walking out of the office his words of wisdom to me were "stop drinking". I told him I drink maybe twice a week! This guy is laughable. And on top of that he gladly took my $200 for 20 minutes of his time. I wish I could give shadow stars.

I saw Dr. Khan on a recommendation from my therapist to obtain prescriptions. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to get an appointment with him before my prescription ran out. As I had been warned several times not to go off my meds cold turkey, I requested that he write me a prescription that would get me through to my next appointment, which I know is something he has done in the past. My request was refused, and I am now facing having to ration my remaining medication, and even then it will not last. I put up with his condescension and dismissive bedside manner because I was already seeing another therapist who didn't have an MD. However, I find it wholly irresponsible for him to refuse to provide me with the medication, which he told me I could not simply stop taking, to get me through to the next appointment. I am in the process of looking for more immediate help, and regardless, I will not be back to see him.

I have to agree with most of the negative reviews. He will barely give you 15 minutes. He gets mad if you go over a minute of his time. He does not talk to you about life circumstances. He always asks the same questions about medications. He is not willing to help you. I am trying to a switch doctors.

No bedside manner.

I had gone to see Dr. Ahmed Kahn and had never gone to someone in his line of work and was very nervous. I spoke with him and he was trying to put me on depression meds that make you tired. I was already always feeling very tired; so I asked to do research on meds before letting him prescribe them to me. I came back with another suggestion after doing extensive research on my symptoms. He automatically started jumping down my throat and was being very unreasonable and didn't let me explain. I am a professional and not even the people I work for or with talk to me in that manor. He does not have many good reviews and here is another. I do not recommend this doctor. for any of your psychiatric needs.Sincerely, Concerned Patient
