She no showed my appointment

Aileen Yap-Lacap is a terrible doctor who made me extremely ill. She is EVIL and her supervisor does not care. Please stop her and her coworkers from harming others, I can't afford a lawyer.

For three years now I've been under the "care" of Dr. Yap-Lacap. After our very first appointment I remember crying the entire way home and only now am I realizing she's ALWAYS made me question myself. She is defensive, not personable, and only seems to care about her potential for malpractice, never making her own decisions. Safe-guarding her words with what the big man will say about her. She talks AT me every time we have an appointment. Never a conversation. After asking how I am, and giving the rundown she had NOTHING to say in reply, just getting straight to the facts. Lacks empathy and regard. She is not genuine. Never asking me any other questions after "are you having a crisis?" No true concern for my well-being. I've wanted to switch since the moment I met her, referred by my primary because they "go to church together." Another red flag. If you have the option before settling for your Psychiatrist, I'd highly recommend looking at reviews. Hers have negative feedback all… over the internet. I have never written a review before but it's time. She does not trust me and lives in her head. I mentioned it truthfully doesn't seem she trusts me and she came back wildly defensive. Her approach is cold and defensive each session. She is not here to take care of you, just her job position.

I attended a teleconference appointment with my adult daughter. I came as her advocate as she has been seeing this doctor for 4 years and can't seem to get the medication for depression and anxiety issues that she has been asking for all of these years. I can see why. This Dr has a preconceived idea of her diagnosis which is incorrect and talked over us and would not listen to anything I had to say. I was giving her my daughter's medical and mental health history. She would interrupt constantly, never letting us finish a thought. She was callous, insensitive, rude and arrogant. She tried to get me to 51/50 my daughter who is showing no signs to this degree. I simply told her she was severely depressed and it was getting in the way of her normal functioning. I told the Dr. she needed therapy, medication, and her family. She kept pushing the 51/50 and actually shamed us for having me be her advocate as she is an adult and does not look good in her chart. Do not go to her! She traumatized… my daughter and made her feel as though she had no voice. This Dr. is controlling and abusive! I filed a grievance at Kaiser as soon as we got off the phone with her and we asked for a transfer to a new Dr.

She is very competent,knowledgeable, compassionate, strong, encouraging and reliable!

Let me explain something , when you expect to meet someone you expect them to shake your hand walk with you instead she’s walking 10 feet away from me and is totally ignoring me and went to get in the office I sit down she starts to get defensive because she got a bad reported one of her doctors of bad bedside manners that was horrible towards me behavior so she already put her guard up before I even got a chance to really explain to myself about what I really needed as a patient and instead she always was judging me for whatever happened which I don’t think that was fair and that’s not professional work . She was rude towards me she talked down to me and made me feel like I was a bad person and that she was reading my records that happen 7 years ago which it has change but the wall was put up before I even had a chance . This women needs to be retrain of professionalism .

Horrible Horrible visit with her do not go to her . She was very distance with me and I didn’t even have a chance to explain what was going on . This is the second psychiatrists I have to deal with Miss yes

I used to be a patient of Dr Yap. Used to be, being the keyword. I have seen many therapist and a couple psychiatrist over the years. I took and learned from most. However, Dr. Yap sent me on a true healing journey. I say a journey because I am still applying what she taught me today. She took me off many meds which I should have never been on. She saw through other doctors mistakes. She is a strong woman and gives you the tools and insight which will make you grow. It was not always easy because healing is not supposed to be. This woman will always hold a dear place in my heart. She always took the time as soon as I was ready to truly commit to healing. I have also referred her to close friends and they have had the same results. Amazing! Dr. Yap if you ever read this... I am not broken...just a little bent. Fall of the Olympians :)

Do you have a name for your text reader personality? Set up you're defenses so you don't get so personal so quick. I wonder is she reads these. I disagree with the negative comments regarding time. She always makes room giving her busy schedule. She's understanding and thoughtful. Knows the requirements for healthy mental states and will meet you more than half way to get you on the right path. Make the effort and you will gain her trust.
