Dr. Aimee Christine Garza, MD

First visit you will see Dr Garza, after that it’s PA after another PA, and so on. They don’t bill correctly. Overcharged my copay every visit except once when I refused to pay and asked to use my credit from previous appointments and then on they continued to over charge and say it was right. They cannot produce any sort of ledger to prove what was paid when. I have spoken to my insurance and they confirm the copay was wrong. Never can get any answers from billing team or medical team to help with medical concerns.

I have been a “So Called” patient of Dr Garza’s for approximately one and a half years. I was able to see Dr Garza one time, and that was my initial visit. Since than I have been shuffled from one nursing assistant to another! What my complaint consists of is the fact that I came to her office seeking help from a NEUROLOGIST named Dr Aimee Garza, not from her nursing assistants! I approached my primary care doctor for a referral for a different neurologist, but he recommended contacting Dr Garza’s office manager and informing him/her of my complaint in the hopes of maybe getting me scheduled back to Dr Garza. I made several calls to her office which resulted in my having to leave a voice message three times for the office manager to please contact me by phone. I never received a call to address my problem. Today I found out that the office manager happens to be Dr Garza’s husband! Her nursing assistant has scheduled another appointment for me....after all I’ve been through, or all I… have not been through, I’m really disappointed with Dr. Garza. I have scheduled an appointment with my primary care doctor to refer me to another neurologist. What I find so downright depressing with Dr Garza is how, after 42 years of being diagnosed with Epilepsy and my doubting the prognosis due to my ability to fully function rationally during what all my previous neurologists thought were complex seizures, Dr Garza was able to confirm that I don’t have Epilepsy after all and only experience dissociative seizures. I was very elated to learn of this and excited to have this treated after reading that this condition is definitely curable, but I guess with my being 75 years of age, I don’t deserve the attention a person much younger would receive. I feel completely deserted by Dr Garza, and resent very much being relegated to the care of a staff of nursing or physician assistants..

I've had a combination of tension headaches and Migraines for 5 weeks straight now. After my visit i was recommended to get an MRI and to discuss results the next week. I was told it would be 25.50 from the office and now they are wanting to bill over 100 which i refused because i was told it was significantly less. On top of that i wasn't given any recommendation of what's causing these headaches that i have never had before in my life. It's really sad that people try to get answers from professionals, but those professionals are extremely vague on the details. In addition, my first visit i had to pay beforehand close to 200 dollars for them to recommend an MRI and prescribe meds with no information on whats causing my problems.

It is defintely true that the NP's & PA's run the show. You see the Dr only upon request, if she is avaialble. Hours are 7-3 with Friday off. Most of the time when placing a call to them, nobody answers. IK am thinking about changing.

Management is not going to change as the man who runs her office is her husband, which has no clue and runs a disorganized office. And it true her PA's run her office and you never see Dr. Garza.

My husband has severe neuropathy and has been going to Dr. Garza for over 2 years. Our situation has changed recently and money is tight and unfortunately you have to pay the doctor first. Took my husband to see Aimee last week after several tests. Well the girls at the front asked her is she would see us and she said she would NOT SEE US BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE A CARD WITH ME TO PAY HER. Well my husbands situation is too important. I am finding a new numerologist. I was very disappointed.

Dr Garza truly has her focus on her patients at all times from your first appointment onward. She and her staff are very knowledgeable and reassuring to those of us afflicted with neurological issues. Waits can tend to stretch out at times but we can't control everything now can we? Very glad to have found her.

Any patient of Dr. Garza's is capable of coming to their own conclusions. I'm sure she could be a good doctor for some, but Dr. Garza's actions absolutely ruined my life. Be careful before trusting Dr. Garza with your private information. Dr. Garza did not responsibly handle my private information, which should have been kept between doctor and patient. My life is forever charged, while she continues to practice.

Dr. Garza is a good doctor - just don't expect to see her. Other than at the initial appointment you probably won't ever see her. The work is done by the nurse practioners and unlike some doctors offices where you see the NP once or twice and then the actual physician I haven't seen that there is a rotation - it's all just the nurse practioners. She has a couple who work for her, one is better than the other but they obviously aren't physicians. The office staff is actually friendly. That hasn't always been the case but the current staff is pretty good. This doctor does care - she just doesn't do much patient interaction.

Would not recommend due to rude staff one man in particular should not be working with the general public.
