Dr. Akash Gupta, MD

Dr Gupta has cared for me and my son. My son’s surgery fixed a sinus issue. He’s knowledgeable and personable.

Dr. Gupta was very professional and thorough, went over and explained every test they did so you understood the results. Felt very comfortable in his office.

Was greeted and within 5 minutes I met with Dr. Gupta. He understood my problem and immediately began to diagnose it very thoroughly.

Saw Dr. Gupta for the second time today. He listened to my problem and provided his expert advice. He was kind and respectful. His stuff is also quite professional. Did not have to wait for the doctor to see me.

My experience at this office was extremely disappointing. When we walked in, we were not greeted and immediately met with hostility from a white female, blonde, with dark roots and a mixed female, ginger with glasses. The front desk staff did not acknowledge us until we approached the window, and the interaction that followed was dismissive and rude. Our hello and or welcome and or what can I do for you was her just saying “name.” When discussing the $60 copay and whether it could be billed, the staff member responded with visible annoyance and eye-rolling at us. While the other girl who wasn’t helping us, watched us with a smirk and kept turning away to laugh any time the staff member was rude to us. At one point, paperwork was handed to us abruptly to say we agree to it being billed. There was then a miscommunication and we apologize and say we will actually pay. She proceeded with extreme annoyance, snatching the paper back then looking at her friend rolling her eyes and making… nasty faces right in front of us. While our insurance card was being scanned, they both proceeded to look at each other, stare at us and then laugh and cover there months. Throughout the check-in process, we were judged and spoken to in a disrespectful tone, even when we profusely apologized for confusion regarding payment and insurance cards. After that we were told there was an outstanding balance, the conversation became even more uncomfortable. As her way of informing me about the balance was her loudly saying “you know you didn’t pay your bill last time” then telling us to sit while abruptly closing the window. Once we sat down, we could hear loud laughter and comments being made about us from behind the desk, which was incredibly unprofessional, rude and upsetting. When I stared at them to try to inform them, I could hear them they then proceeded to both hide behind their computers and laugh some more. The nurse who brought us back was kind and welcoming, and the doctor was efficient, though he seemed rushed. The nurses who also helped us check out were very kind and helpful. However, the front desk experience significantly impacted our visit. I hope the office addresses how patients should be treated at the front desk. Kindness and professionalism go a long way, and patients should not feel like a burden for seeking care. You never know what people are going through. Fortunately, I don’t allow others to ruin my day, but unfortunately others aren’t as fortunate and things like that can be truly distressing and upsetting to people and that upsets me tremendously. It is not hard to be kind. They fully deserve to be called out and ashamed of their actions. But judging by their demeanor, I’m sure they will not care. Overall, excuse my abruptness, would not recommend this Docters’s office as the girls who apparently never left high school nor grew up sit right at the front desk when you walk in and get upset that your presence graced their office. Then will make you feel like a complete bother to there busy busy schedule of sitting and gossiping.

Dr. Gupta is a very skilled and caring physician. The office adm, Carrie, helped schedule a complex series of appointments with professionalism, efficiency, and kindness. If you are looking for a caring doctor with an amazing support team, this is the place to go.

I felt immediate affinity for Dr. Gupta by his friendly, warm approach. Thankfully he had good hearing news to deliver and he did so with a smile on his face, and uplifting words which I so appreciated. I would come back to see Dr. Gupta anytime, but no rush since he said come back in two years :) I highly recommend Dr. Gupta!
