Dr. Akin Tekin, MD

My daughter's transplant resulted in cardiac arrest, hole in the intestines, coma, the liver ended up outside the body, collapsed lung, and more. It resulted in a lifetime of torment for both me and her. The mother settled a claim for$4.5 million. This doctor was the lead surgeon on the botched transplant. He lied to me and intentionally misled me every step of the way. Stay far away from this doctor and the fraud and problem-riddled Jackson memorial/Holtz Children's Hospital. I will never forgive this man for destroying my life.

Dr Teckin is a very skilled and talented surgeon . His hole team is amazing . Dr Teckin helped us through the scariest time in our lives . He took time to give us information and his insight about our sons situation that gave us peace of mind . He did the surgery with minimal scaring ... he did a beautiful job . We are so great full for all he did we would highly recommend Dr Teckin

I had a liver transplant with a lot of complications and by making the right decision Dr Tekin save my life, he is a very warm human been and he make you feel like family.there Is not enough words to thank dr. Tekin for being soooo special .I know you told me to don't celebrate yet , but I am celebreting been a life every day since I left the hospital 3 month ago , and feeling better everyday thank you

Dr. Tekin has the best bedside manner I've ever seen. He spent ample time with us answering all of our questions and going over everything in detail. We never felt rushed. It was apparent from the beginning just how knowledgable he is and he immediately put my husband and I at ease. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I took my 6 year old daughter to Dr. Tekin for a rare condition that involved choledochal cysts inside and outside her liver. My husband and i were fearful as all parents would be, but he and his staff were so comforting and caring. Dr. Tekin performed a successful surgery on my daughter this past month. The followup at the hospital was amazing. He really cares for his patients. Its now been 3 weeks post-op and my daughters scar already looks amazing but more importantly shes healthy! I had to write a review because when we were choosing a doctor...it would have been helpful. I would definitely recommend him!
