Dr. Alain Guy Champaloux, MD

A dedicated doctor who puts the welfare of his patients first. The staff is friendly and helpful. This office is a rare gem in today's managed care reality.

I never had a primary physician ... always went to "specialist" depending on what ailed me. I decided to search for a primary and decided on Dr. Champaloux based on patient reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to find that all the good things said about him are true. I had a short wait. Before I met Dr. Champaloux, a medical student (intern?) met with me and went through my entire history from birth to present. He was very, very detailed and had excellent bedside manner. He then did an exam of my eyes, ears, heart, lungs, internal organs, legs, feet etc. He spent a good hour with me. I could not have been more pleased. Then walks in Dr. Champaloux. He listened to the medical intern give an oral presentation of my entire medical history, etc. and then he asked questions. He did not rush me through like a lot of doctors. He seemed very interested in me from both a medical and personal standpoint. He asked about my children, family, etc. He scheduled a follow-up visit on… medical issues he found. Doctors such as this are almost impossible to find. I highly recommend him. Also, his staff is excellent. I am very afraid of needles. His nurse came in to draw blood.....and she was finished before I even knew she started. Didn't feel a thing!

He's everything you could want in a family doctor. Knowledgeable and kind. Exactly what my special needs family requires. I'm grateful there are still doctors like him in this day of managed care and walk-in clinics. I wouldn't go to anyone one else.

Don't let the old caucasian lady with the very shaky hands draw your blood! There used a be a young afro-american lady that was excellent! She's not there anymore and I go an outside lab for blood draws. The Dr is great! Don't go into the office manager office, it's a total disaster zone, I don't know how anyone can "manage" that

I would trust my mother or father to be his patient. He is courteous, patient, and has very good bedside manner. This is the best Doctor in PG county.

Alwyas takes time to listen to what you have to say. He asks questions about things you may have mentioned in the past just to keep abrest of your situation. He is thorough in his examination & follow-thru.
