Worst Dr he should not be working anymore

Highly skilled, the revisional work he had to do on me in order to give me a total replacement was beyond my expectations. 10 yrs later I can walk pain free, stand on it all day and have no problems. I interviewed 4 other surgeons and did not have a good feeling about them but when I met him, I had a feeling and knew he was the right one to do this. Best decision I made. I was not looking for a feel good physician or bed side manner, it was the quality, skill and out come that I was after. Thank you Dr. Altman and team, you gave me hope, health and a great out come to live a active life. God Bless you and may He continue to keep blessing you.

Very disappointed with lack of professionalism & respect for patient’s time: was told to arrive early, then after 75 min, I cancelled the appointment and left—still about 10 patients still waiting ahead of me.

This guy is a joke of a doctor. He refused to replace my shoulder because he said I would wear it out.So he put me on unneeded medication. He acts like he is all business but that is just his massive ego showing through. Needless to say I suffered for a couple of more years until I found a real Dr. who took one look at my shoulder and replaced it. Altman is first rate JERK and a second rate doctor. Don't even bother with him.

From my experience, Listen well, be slow to speak, ask questions after he speaks, He connected my septet muscles that had been disconnected for 8 years. No one else could. He just said maybe. well after my reverse rebuild i was astonished that he did just that. the other doctors I consullted said now way after seeing the MRI. . His staff in the office always made me feel very welcome and seemed to always go the extra mile. Amanda and Candice. I have to admit that I had a reaction to some meds. I was taking and wrongfully verbally confronted one of his Physician assistants. Im still very embarrassed about it today.

Dr. Altman reminds me of Sgt. Joe Friday on Dragnet. (talk about way back when). Deadpan, dead serious, results are what matter. He delivered every time I've gone under. Accommodate wait times by calling ahead if possible.

Can't get anyone on the phone. Phone menu is outdated as many extensions exist only to tell , "We don't do this or that anymore." Did get a hold of someone 2 Days ago. told them their Appointments voice mail was full. Told me they would call me back within 24 hours to schedule appt. Non call and apparently NO-ONE works there on Fridays. Way to drive away potential patients. Don't waste your time. No matter what these other reviews say. Obviously doesn't care about new patients.

Stay far away from this doctor and office. If you like to sit in a little exam room for over 2+ hours only to have the doctor come in with an attitude and then say that he is the wrong kind of doctor, then go for it. I told him exactly what I thought of him and the unacceptable wait times and promptly left never to return. Seriously ridiculous, my care from now on will be at The Mayo Clinic in Arizona where they actually care about you.

I found this doctor to be caring, flexible and kind. His bedside manner was professional and outstanding. I researched many ortho docs, Dr.; Altman is my knight in shining armor. He replaced my knees without any side effects. I now have an new set of knees.

I was told to come in 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment even though I had all the new orient paperwork filled out. I waited for 2 hours to be seen. I was never in fact seen and left without even meeting Dr. Altman. His staff is very unprofessional and not the least bit welcoming. I felt as if I was a burden to the front desk lady as I was checking in. This is completely unacceptable. If a physician cannot see his patients in a timely manner then why should I pay the exorbitant amount of money he is going to charge for the office visit? I will be following this up with a formal complaint to the office manager as well.
