Dr. Alan Ira Blum, MD

Dr. Blum and his staff worked very hard and accommodated me by taking me without an appointment. He then assisted me in ordering a new C-PAP machine on the spot. He went above and beyond my expectations and spent a lot of time with me to help me resolve my medical issues.

Horrible experience with the whole staff. They were not courteous nor helpful or available. Got the run around.first they told us he would need to be approved for his sleep apnea take home test (this went on for 3 weeks.) Then after calling them back numerous times we were told we didn’t need approval, (that was their error). We were told they would try to get the take home kit to us asap, but they would have to check if it came back.(1 take home kit?). Then after an additional 2 weeks, we called back, ,and after getting put on hold three separate times without getting back on the phone. We called back and finally got a human who told us she doesn’t take care of that(not the only person or time we were told that), she gave us a number to the “lab”. They told us since the office had a flood (2 months ago), the people who were supposed to take the sleep test there, now needed the take home test kit, so they were very backed up. It took almost 2 months and numerous phone calls to say… we are on a waiting list. To top it off we told them that time was very important since this affected my husbands job. No thanks. Its a shame because Dr. Blum seemed nice, but I have friends that are nice, I need a doctor for my health.

Outstanding diagnostic specialist. Concerned and thorough. They expedited the results and relieved imy concerns. The staff was great!

Dr Blum told me I had lung cancer without taking a CAT scan. When we tried to ask him if it could be scare tissue he told me that he was the doctor and he knew better. Well I took a CAT scan and guess what I did not have cancer it was scar tissue. Dr Blum did not even apologize for giving us such bad news which was wrong

Office staff is not very courteous. Very impersonal. Didn't seem to care. Felt like a was a piece of dirt when interacting with them. It is such a shame because Dr. Blum is a wonderful doctor. Intelligent, concerned and kind.
