I waited about 5 minutes in the waiting room. Then I went to a room and met the Dr. He examined and treated a precancerous lesion. I was out of his office in 10 minutes. He is a very nice man.

My visit to Dr Gilbert was very informative to me

Misdiagnosed a stage 4 malignant melanoma on my father. Was never attentive with the visits. Dad always felt like Gilbert was anxious to be somewhere else. Once the accurate diagnosis had been made by another Doctor Gilbert washed his hands completely of the "misfortunate incident". Patient beware, my dad is deceased now.

After going to another large Dermatology practice in Fort Wayne and putting up with rude bookkeeping staff and repeat visits for which problems weren't cured for several years, I decided to try Dr. Alan Gilbert. My college age son had had a common wart taken off his hand three different times by two other dermatologists and it kept coming back. Also, my teen daughter had an acne problem that kept worsening despite expensive treatment by other dermatologists. Dr. Gilbert not only permanently got rid of my son's wart on the first try he successfully controlled and nearly elimnated my daughter's acne problem within a few months. Dr. Gilbert used topical medicines that the other dermatologists apparently didn't know about. Dr. Gilbert and his staff spend more time explaining procedures and options than most other doctors I've seen. My kids are on their own now and continue to see Dr. Gilbert or the Physican Assistants in his office. I also see Mr. Story, PA with great success for fillers… and Botox. He does a better job than the plastic surgeon I used to see for the same procedures. My average wait time is no more than 15 minutes (usually less) and their staff is extremely courteous. I've recommended Dr. Gilbert and his practice to many friends and family.

Do not go to this doctor. If you have to drive an hour to see another i would highly recommened it. All he his after is your insurance money. Staff is terrible.
