Dr. Alan Jay Gottlieb, MD

I had my first and last visit with this horrible Dr. He was rude from the beginning of my visit and didn't treat me with respect. He laughed at a few of my answers. One of them was when I told him I didn't want the covid vaccine because I did my research. I had an MRI done previously but at first he wouldn't even look at it which is why I was there. He finally did but wouldn't discuss it with me. That doesn't make sense. Stay clear of this piece of garbage. He won't even treat you like you're a human being and he doesn't care enough about people to be a Dr. Any positive reviews on him must be paid for.

Dr. Gottlieb got angry when I did not except his diagnoses of fibromyalgia. I have an auto immune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome. Fibromyalgia was a diagnoses when you do not know what was wrong with a patient. My records showed that there was also Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder, bot no fibromyalgia. After refusing the diagnoses I was treated harshly by Dr. Gottlieb and was refused my medical records to take to another rheumatologist. Dr. Gottlieb is not a doctor I would recommend to anyone, not even an enemy. His treatment of me trickled down to his staff. Horrible doctor!!!

Before my first visit with Dr. Gottlieb, I read some reviews and I was honestly skeptical about going, but I considered the source of those comments as most likely written by very judgment people experimenting with their freedom of speech. I agree with the people who say he has a different "bed side manner"; but that's not it, he has a different approach and if you think you're going to be coddled and expect him to listen to all your stories of woe and misery, that's not what you're going to get. His questions are to the point and direct and he's thorough in his consultation and examination. I left feeling like I had made more progress in getting treatment than I have in the past year. So, don't believe all reviews you read, think of how many people, like me, who had a good experience and don't think to share it.

I visited this doctor and like many other patients stated he did not offer any solutions, asked me many questions but was very short on letting me ask questions.. he is not very nice nor acted like he cared. He ordered tons of blood work but said he didn’t “believe” there was anything wrong... UNTIL he had a nurse call me back with positive results! Very disappointed patient, I will never see him again. Even then the nurse said call us if you don’t feel better

he only reason I am giving him a 1 is because you have too in order to post a review. Where do I even begin. THIS doctor I truely believe is responsible for my parents death. Both were diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after this so called doctor blew them off! My mother clearly had a visible mass on her breast and his response was " if it doesent bother you dont worry about it" Fast forward to the mass hurting and she was diagmosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had spread throughout her entire body. Both parents used this doctor as their primary physician. My father went to the doctor complaining of his back hurting to the point where he would scream when he moved. THIS doctor never did an xray and just said its a pulled muscle. Fast forward.....come to find out he had a fractured spine due to a tumor being wrapped around his spine. It was cancer that had already spread. Before the back pain my fathers bloodwork came back abnormal, they informed him that they " forgot " to have him… re-tested. I am going to also report this doctor to the medical board. Did I mention he told my mother she had cancer over the phone ? This doctor should not be practicing and I will do everything I can to make sure this happens. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR !!!

Alan Gottlieb should not be treating patients. If you ever question his diagnoses, he will treat you like trash. He and his staff try to intimidate you. I have cried during my examinations because my doctor was not listening to me. When I requested my records he and his staff says there were no records concerning me. Mr. Gottlieb should not treat patients ever.

I've been seeing Dr. Gottlieb for a number of years. My first few visits were great and he got my illness under control. Since then its wham, bam, you're out of here! After describing my pain to him I was told that we all have aches and pains that cannot be explained and to just ignore them! As others have stated he rushes through the visit and is constantly inputting info in the computer records as you're trying to talk to him. Talk about distracted!

One of the most unfriendly, cold specialist I have ever seen. I was at a loss with my health and was referred to him by my primary doctor. My primary doctor warned me of his bad bedside manners but said he was the easiest Rheumatologist to get in with... now I see why he was so easy to get in with... His bedside manners are beyond bad. When asking him questions he blows you off and gives vague answers. I was confused by my blood work results and asked for explanation in which he just reprinted them for me and and only stated "what I was asking was not true and not something seen in blood work". So calling me a liar. I then had to ask a nurse to explain and sure enough it was in the blood work. He is not helpful and doesn't seem to care about his patients. Which is really sad because like lots of people who are pointed to specialists, I need guidance and answers not someone who blows me off and says I am making stuff up. Please save yourself the money and time and wait to get in with a… decent Rheumatologist.

Told me I was overweight and to go to water aerobics. After finally finding someone who would listen and do testing, I have chronic inflammatory disease due to allergies. I told him I had severe allergies and he completely dismissed it.

After he walked out of the office I literally cried. He makes you feel like an idiot.
