Took my wife to ER on a Tues with a broken tibia was told to make a appointment to check healing in 6 weeks with this doctor to check healing. Doctor called said he needed to see wife right away for new x-rays. Left work drove 40 min picked up wife went to office and waited. Saw doctor and barely looked at leg/ no x-rays nothing. told to come back in 6 weeks drove 40 min back home 40 min back to work 40 min back home. cancelled 6 week appointment, I would never go to this doctor who has such little regard for people

Can’t have surgery. Had a procedure called Coolief. Wonderful. Outpatient & no rehab!

I had an auto accident early 2012. I knew there was something wrong with my shoulder and my primary told me to "quit babying" it. She finally broke down and ordered a MRI which showed tears in my shoulder. When I saw Dr Halpern he had a hard time believing I was able to use it as well as I did. Surgery was within 2 weeks followed be PT and appts. with Dr Halpern. Great experience compared to some of the reviews I've read. When I broke / fractured my ankle last Febuary and was told by ER doc that I may need surgery. First stop was Dr Halpern and he worked it to the point I did not need surgery. Another full recovery.

I saw the Dr. for about 5 mins. he ordered an x-ray, looked at it and pronounced my condition wasn't that bad that I needed surgery. He told me to get some orthotics for my shoes and ignored me asking another question and just walked out of the room. I got a $300 bill in the mail, and I have really good insurance! I cancelled my follow up with this hack.

Approximately 2 summers ago, my daughter was just beginning her summer break after 1st grade, when she flipped off a swingset and broke her arm. The break was so severe that surgery was a high probability due to the jagged bones tangling with muscle and such. Preparations were made to transfer my little girl by ambulance to another hospital, for what was expected to be a lengthy surgery by the attending physician. Dr.Halpern was paged for advice. Rather than take a chance, He dropped everything he was doing and drove immediately to our ER to evaluate her himself. He didn't have to do this, but he did. After careful scanning and evaluation, he was able to smoothly transition my daughter's arm back in place with NO frightening ambulance ride - and NO SURGERY!! I will never forget the silence in the ER, or the words he whispered after re-setting her arm on the first try. So thankful for the outcome of this situation! Dr. Halpern has no idea how thankful our family is for going Above and… Beyond for her. Her arm has healed beautifully, with no visible difference at all between the two, and no complications. I have been seeing Dr. Aland Halpern for nearly 3 years for my knee. I have had nothing but problems with it, and my Physical Therapist said it was the surgeon and not my knee. He does not listen to anything that I say. My screws all came out of my knee and he said that it was not the screw it was normal to have a (painful) bump there. He is an idiot.

I too, had the misfortune of having this crass, uncaring "dr." look (when he wasn't turned away because of my fat) at my knee, and was told to get up and do something; not eat bon bons all day...(I have MS, and oops, sorry, a fall on my knee due to mobility problems, caused me to not be able to walk, let alone run, stretch and jump, as he thought I should be "making" myself do. There aren't any words to describe how bad his bedside manner truly is. A real creep. If you thought he might actually know what he was talking about, maybe you could overlook some of his rudeness, and lack of care.

You should not go to Dr. Halpern with your medical problems. I have never actually seen him for more than 5 min. He listens to nothing. I have tarsal coalition and he sent me to get x-rays done for my FOOT, but the problem is in my ANKLE. And also during my first appointment he kept telling me that my problem was with my knee even though it clearly said on my patient sheet that it was my ankle. The whole experience was ridiculous and I am no longer seeing him.
