Dr. Alan Hsieh Lee, MD

I SAW DR LEE WHEN HE HAD RECENTLY JOINED UP WITH DR ANDERSON AT THE PRAIRIE CITY RD CLINIC IN FOLSOM CA. MY KNEE BLEW UP ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRAIL RUN- I HAD TO RUN/LIMP 4-5 MILES TO GET BACK TO MY CAR. MY THIGH REALLY SWELLED UP AND THERE WAS A SHARP PAIN JUST BELOW THE CENTER OF MY KNEECAP. I WAS SURE I WOULD NEED SURGERY. DR. LEE SAID NOT SO FAST. HE WAS PRETTY SURE HE KNEW WHAT WAS WRONG AND SUGGESTED A SHOT OF CORTISONE. I'D HAD BAD EXPERIENCES WITH CORTISONE SHOTS IN THE PAST. HE EXPLAINED THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD NOT LIKE IT IF HE JUST WENT IN AND OPERATED-- I WOULD END UP PAYING FOR IT MYSELF. HE GAVE ME THE SHOT AND SENT ME FOR SEVERAL P T SESSIONS. MY KNEE IS NOW PERFECT (FOR 10-15 YRS BEFORE THAT I COULD NOT BEND IT QUITE ALL THE WAY W/O EXPERIENCING A SHARP PAIN). I APPRECIATED DR. LEE'S DIRECTNESS. NO DILLY DALLYING AROUND-- "HERE IS WHAT I THINK." HE COULD HAVE GLOATED TO ME ON MY FOLLOW UP VISIT BUT HE DIDN'T. HE IS HARVARD TRAINED AND HE KNOWS HIS S---. I… HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM ON ALL COUNTS.

I have had experience with orthopedic surgeons on multiple occasions and would rate Dr. Lee in the top group. While caring for me for a knee fracture and sprained ACL, I found Dr. Lee to be very knowledgeable, while demonstrating concern for my well-being. He was exceptional in explaining the prognosis and treatment options. Often times a doctors assistance can make, or break the patient experience. Dr. Lee's assistant, Sally, is exceptional. She is consistently cheerful and friendly. She is considerate of your time and truly makes you feel like your satisfaction and comfort are important.

I saw Dr. Lee after I fell and hurt my shoulder. He diagnosed me with a frozen shoulder and gave me an injection, which got rid of all my pain! The injection didn't even hurt!

Very patient and kind doctor! He treated me when I had a bad break in my arm - immediately made me feel at ease and provided reassurance, taking lots of time to answer my questions. Great bedside manner!
