Alan is a prince among men but you got to catch him on a good day. His genius held my interest for 10 yrs + but here I sit waiting for a call back at 1:12 am. After 3 messages because the 4 days worth of ringing in my ear is more than a little stressful. I was told "he's busy.he will call you back" So stressful anticipating his call for all those hours...I felt worse. I also had a headache for 4 days. I wanted his guidance regarding medication because I wanted to do the right thing so it will go away. Here I sit deciding I can't take it anymore I'll self medicate and try to go to bed. He is a lovely man but you got to put up withe the way he handles his massive case load.

He might be one of the best doctors! I suffered with insomnia for 40 years, and he has worked out a plan so that I now can sleep. Truly a brilliant, kind, caring gentleman.

I was referred to Dr. Manevitz by a close friend who is also a longtime patient of his. I have suffered from depression, anxiety and PTSD for nearly two decades, have seen multiple therapists and psychiatrists who were more concerned with writing prescriptions than with actually treating my needs. Dr. Manevitz was kind, listened attentively and gave me reading materials to bring home to learn more about managing my symptoms and developing coping skills. He did not rush to continue my prescriptions but rather created a plan of care with me to make sure that I'm only prescribed what's absolutely needed. His prices are very competitive given the area and he is absolutely worth every penny! I've read reviews that complained about wait times and his hectic schedule, but is that any different than seeing your primary care physician? With a Psychiatrist as highly regarded as Dr. Manevitz, I am happy to see that he's busy and dedicated to his patients and that he makes it a point to be… available whenever called upon. I would be worried if his schedule was bare and he was not in high demand! For once in my life I'm excited to move forward with a treatment plan that I feel is going to make huge positive changes for me. I recommend Dr. Manevitz to anyone struggling with mental health issues, he's your go-to guy for sure! Oh, and what a treat it was to open up the New York Times and see his face named in the hall of fame as a 15 time Super Doctor in New York City! Congratulations Dr. Manevitz, well deserved indeed!

After wandering over two decades from one psychiatrist to the next, Dr Manevitz offered me a full remedy to my cocktail of OCD, depression, Anxiety. He was an angel from heaven that saved me and led me to fully recovery. As of today, being Dr. Manevitz's ptn, I could only recall the names of the illnesses, but not the illnesses, as they are all gone. Thank God for sending me Dr Manevitz. I would highly recommend him as the only psychiatrist whom I trust and who could apply the problem and deliver a full cure. I visited over 20 psychiatrist and to no avail. Dr. Manevitz was the only one who diagnosed me correctly and led me into full remission. Thank God and thank you Dr. Manevitz.

Dr Manivetz helped save my life. I was in a deep dark depression. Completely over medicated by my prior Dr. Ready to end it. Dr M spent 2 hours with me, helped me get my life back together. Linda at the front desk is a Saint. I could not ask for a better Psychiatrist. Dr M is worth every penny. God bless him.

I went to Dr. Manevitz for a psychiatric consultation. I had read about him extensively and he seemed like an excellent doctor. I was told I would pay 450$ for an hour and a half. I arrived at the office and waited 50 MINUTES before meeting him. MY session was about 45-50 minutes and he left once in the middle. I was never given any medical opinion. He then gave me sheets to fill out that were designed to diagnose children. I then had to give the staff the name of a doctor for him to contact which he did not tell me I had to do or for what reason and thus I was unprepared. He finally gave me a "text number" to give to my therapist and told me that he'd "set me up soon" with a new prescription. He doesn't seem like a mean guy...so either was having THE WORST most hectic day of his life, or is a scam artist. Please save yourself some time and do not go to him.

Dr. Manevitz has been my physician for over 8 years. I have suffered with bipolar all my life and had seen psychiatrist after psychiatrist. He has literally saved my life.

i am a physician (working in the Harvard system) in a family of physicians (both my parents and my grandfather were physicians). Dr. Manevitz is a doctor's doctor...razor sharp diagnostic skills, empathic bedside manner, broadly and depthly knowledgeable, compassionate for my daughter and my family that was suffering along with her. If we could clone doctors like he and his associates, we will all be in great hands. His intuitive instincts combined with his brilliance makes him unmatchable in my estimation and experience. One of the hardest working doctors in any field. You and your family are lucky to be in his capable hands. He saved my 'little girl' and i am forever grateful.

The greatest doctor ever!

I have referred three of my friends to him in emergency circumstances. In each instance, Dr Manevitz responded as the "fireman" we could rely on. He is calm and collected and clinically decisive and incisive. One of my friends had a complicated pregnancy and bipolar crisis and doctors were suggesting an abortion. Dr. Manevitz figured out the proper clinical course and my friend is the mother of a wonderful two year old. Another friend was having a marital crisis AND a crisis with their 11 year old. Again, Dr. Manevitz figured out a course of action. My third friend was depressed and anxious and had not responded to many medication and had to go on disability. Dr.Manevitz figured out a successful mixture of medicines and she is back at work again and engaged!
