Dr. Alan L Mintz

Dr. Alan L. Mintz is a graduate of New York University College of Arts and Science. He attended the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, graduating in 1968. After completing an oral surgery internship at the Roosevelt Hospital in New York; he then attended the Long Island College Hospital, completing their general practice residency. His formal training in Periodontics was done at New York University College of Dentistry where he graduated with honors and completed his certification to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 1981.
Dr. Mintz served in the United States Army Dental Corps as the Assistant Clinic Chief at the Fairbanks Dental Center at Fort Hood. Texas. He is the former chief of Periodontology at the Brooklyn Jewish Hospital and serves as chief of Periodontics at the Long Island College Hospital Dental Clinic (since 1977).
Dr. Mintz is a former assistant clinical professor of Periodontics graduate division at New York University …College of Dentistry. He has served as Program Chairperson and President of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. and is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, The Academy of Periodontology and the American Board of Periodontology.
He has published numerous articles in the dental journals and has lectured extensively to the dental community in the tri-state area.
