Dr. Moltz is a wonderful dentist. His knowledge and care go beyond expectations. He is a professional every step of the way. He takes great pride in his practice along with his wonderful professional staff. Thanks to Dr Moltz my overall oral health is always in good hands.

Hello, I'm writing a formal complaint against Dr. Alan Moltz that runs the practice in Vernon Hills, IL. This used to be the the best place to go, the dentist that ran this before was the BEST dentist Dr. Holz. Started going there when I was 5, I'm 24 now. And unfortunately Dr. Holz retired and now theres a new doctor, Dr. Moltz. Dr. Moltz is definitely one of the most disrespectful, unprofessional, foul people I have ever encountered in my entire life! I just went in for a cleaning like a do every 6 months and during my whole visit, I was appropriate and polite as always but the difference this time was that I stood up for myself and he did NOT appreciate that a woman told him the word NO. He told me that it was Illinois's law that I had to get X-rays for my teeth when there was no indication of needing them. X-rays are very very expensive, I'm not gonna get them if I don't need them and rack up hundreds of dollars or expose myself to radiation if I don't need to! He sat next to me… fighting with me, arguing with me, literally belittling me telling me I HAD to get X-rays. What doctor sits there fighting with a patient? Beyond rude and he was very dishonest. I advocated for myself and said no! He still decided to sit there for another 10 minutes and argue with me and told me, QUOTED, "Well too bad. These aren't your rules, it's the states." EXCUSE ME?! There is no law stating you need to get X-rays every year or two and in fact.. they are my rules because this is my body, my choice and my right to tell the doctor no to X-rays! Also he was fighting with an older lady while I was there, who does that??? I'm writing this review so people understand what kind of doctor he is. All the good reviews you see on google about this location are for Dr Holz which are ALL true but he is retired and no longer there so please please please do not get fooled!!! Dr. Moltz is a shady, unpleasant and unkind man due to his lying, disappointing display of common sense and unwillingness to be respectful towards his patients. Left my appointment furious due to Dr. Moltz insulting me by thinking I wouldn't look into his lies. Morally wrong and clearly unintelligent if he cant be honest with the people he's treating *cough cough* taking money from. In result, he dropped me as a patient sending a letter home from his malpractice attorney because he didn't like a 24 year old woman telling him the word 'no'...  MY body, MY rules. This whole situation is unfortunate but there were 2 witnesses (front desk lady and the dental assistant) to completely back me up on what happened because they both were there and heard it all. I was not disrespectful, I was not rude, I did not yell or swear but I did not back down when it came to advocating for myself nor anyone should. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a look into this doctor, Dr. Moltz is the definition of a scam artist and its a tragic shame for him to have a license to practice medicine.
