Dr. Alan Mark Peaceman, MD

Dr. Peaceman appears to have some underlying condescension and arrogance when he speaks. I often times felt foolish when addressing my concerns. Not a nice way to be treated when you are carrying a life. I preferred the other obgyns.

We drove 2 hours for a consult with Dr. Peaceman to discuss the results of my thrombophilia testing after having a placental abruption. His whole team was truly wonderful, and we really appreciated all the time he took with us. He was the perfect mix of kind, professional, evidence-based, and sympathetic. He was able to share both his understanding of the literature and his own personal experience. We left his office with all our questions answered, feeling educated and reassured. Even though we love our OB close to home, it is great to have someone like Dr. Peaceman available should any questions or concerns come up during our next pregnancy. Highly, highly recommend!

Dr peaceman never rushes you. He always asks what your questions are and addresses each question individually. He is very straight forward and extremely intelligent. He puts your mind at ease. His nurses are equally wonderful.

Dr. Peaceman always takes time to talk and always listens, never pushes you to any conclusions or his view. I feel very relaxed and confident in his care, highly respected and professional in every aspect of his job.

Worst experience ever. Waited 2 months to see this doctor. Finally had appointment and a resident was brought in to go over my medical history. Waited 40 more minutes and was told that dr. Peace man wasn't going to see me because having 4 abdominal surgeries, multiple pregnancy losses, and an artificial abdomen was not grounds for the messiah himself. Instead he had his resident do the dirty work. I left there crying and wouldn't pay my co pay. I also made a complaint with the faculty foundation, but northwestern thinks there untouchable. Please beware. Ive also heard nothing but negative things about delivering there. I'm thankful I didn't, don't let a new looking hospital fool you.

I am rotating through the practice now to meet ever doctor since they don't know who will be there on my d-day. My husband and I found him delightful and he was very kind and patient with me in both of my visits with him. He took plenty of time to answer my questions, and even had a few follow up questions for me based on my inquiries. I hope he is there on my big day to deliver my little girl.

Dr. Peaceman is WONDERFUL! As a patient of his for 2 pregnancies, I cannot say enough good things about him. He has wonderful bedside manner, is sympathetic and very concerned for his patients, and always knew my medical history when we met. I adore him. I am eternally thankful to him for providing me with excellent care!!!
