Dr. Alan Patrick Ruiz, MD

If you need a doctor that’s going to be highly sympathetic and hold your hand to tell you everything is going to be alright, that’s likely not going to be Dr. Ruiz. If you need your doctor to be smart, effective and logical, I’m not sure you can find a better doctor in this area. I’ve never felt rushed. He’s spoken to me at length about any medical condition I’ve come to him with, provided medical advice and cited information from memory that most doctors would need to look up, at best. He presents any prescription with an explanation of what it is and why it’s the best option in his opinion. Could he come off as brash? Yeah, maybe. It’s his personality, but I’ve found him to be very friendly and knowledgeable. And that’s all I care about in my primary.

Med school isn't his primary education, every time I've seen him he comes off as distant and it feels like he'd rather be somewhere else. Has googled things in front of me at the appointment and takes the first result as medical advice.

If I could give this doctor a zero rating I would. He’s rude, arrogant, and uncaring.
