Dr. Alan Roy Sandidge

Dr. Sandidge is the best - he is very warm and friendly. He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and explains in detail any question that you need answered. I would recommend him to anyone who is in the area looking for a well mannered, friendly, well educated, funny and caring physician. He takes time and doesn't rush at appointments which is a plus considering we are choosing him for care. We love Dr. Sandidge!!

This is the worst office I have ever worked with. Nobody ever answers the telephone. Have tried for weeks and at different times. Been with Dr. Sandidge for years. Not worth the aggravation!

While I get in trouble when I arrive a couple minutes behind my appt. and get pushed back, this office seems to think it’s ok to just make an appt for you to sit. They don’t honor their appointment times . Please consider this when looking into going here. Be prepared to wait. The doctors and nurses are great. Their staff even works hard to help you out . This is a serious problem however. We, the patient, are paying your salaries and our time is very valuable. We should be respected in the way you would want to be as well.

I have been going to Dr. Sandidge for years. At the last visit, I asked about doing a round of antibiotics for a rash on my hand. He said no, which was fine. But, when I asked why, he proceeded into a rant about how antibiotics weren't Flintstone vitamins. I asked what could happen by taking them which sent him into another rant about how his insurance didn't cover the epinephrine he wanted his son to have for a peanut allergy.. continued on with how he spent 15 years of his life and he wasn't going to lose his license over me... it was bordering on incoherent at this point. He said he wouldn't treat something without knowing what it was. When I suggested he do a biopsy of it to find out what it was, he refused. Several times throughout his rant, I told him I understood and the subject could be dropped. But, that didn't stop him. He ended with 'if you want medicine like that, you can go to Mexico for it'. I was stunned! I couldn't believe my ears. I'd never seen any doctor… act in such an unprofessional manner. He was ranting so much that I didn't even get to ask other questions about my health. It felt more like a therapy session for him than an office visit for me. I will never return.

After many years we are leaving Arnold Family Medicine. Dr. Sandidge is a fantastic doctor with great clinical skills and bedside manor. However, his overwhelming patient volume and rude office staff leaves much to be desired. Appointments are always 2-3 weeks out, wait times on the phone are never less than 5 minutes, and the staff seems overworked and stressed. We conclude, that the shear patient volume is ultimately the detriment to this practice. Time to move on.

Dr. Sandidge has been my primary care physician for a number of years. I trust him implicitly. I am very picky when it comes choice in physicians and he is the best I have ever had. He has gone the extra mile when my daughter was having some issues to ensure that she was not put in a mental health facility when it was not necessary. He diagnosed my husband's cancer and made sure he saw only the best doctors in the field for his care.

Great Dr. saved my life by scheduling tests and EKG before Knee Surgery, before and after my 5 By-Pass Very good bedside manor and always concerned.Recommend to all my family and friends!
